“For I was hungry and you gave me food…” – Matthew 25:35

Across our nation, millions are facing food insecurity, and with the suspension of SNAP benefits in many areas, the need is growing even greater. Families, children, and seniors are struggling to put meals on the table.

If you or someone you know needs food, there are resources available to help.
If you’re looking for ways to help, there are opportunities to give, volunteer, and make a difference.

🔗 Check the links below to find both kinds of resources — because when we care for one another, we live out Christ’s call to love our neighbor.

On Friday, September 12th, we learned that The Well would be closing for a week of much-needed repairs. In that moment, the Ministry to the Unhoused at St. James Lutheran Church sprang into action, answering God’s call to serve. Guided by the Spirit, we reached out to colleagues and community partners to ensure that our unhoused neighbors had not only a place of shelter during the day, but also food, water, and care.

Even in the midst of challenges, God’s faithfulness shone through. His loyal servants across Glynn County and Brunswick came together as one body in Christ to meet the need. In this, we are reminded of Jesus’ words in Matthew 25:35 — “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” Truly, by serving our neighbors, we were serving Christ Himself.

Hi all, please be on the lookout for Deacon Becky's dog Atlas. This morning at 10 AM, Atlas bolted to chase a deer near Christ Church and Fort Frederica. He should be dragging a leash. He is friendly but big, about 130 pounds. If you see him, please message us!h
