Depression, anxiety, feeling hopeless, over whelmed, even unworthy. These are pressures from the world that surrounds us. They cloud our thoughts and we lose track of what is important.

God did not make a mistake when He created you, He didn't let his son die on the cross for someone that He didn't love. Our Lord wants you to find comfort in Him, away from the pain and darkness.

As it is said, today is a new day! It's an amazing opportunity that our Lord blessed us with, to start fresh, renewed. It's also another day for the world to see what a gloriously unique and treasured gift you really are.

God loves you...even when you don't.

God has perfect vision, and sees us for who we truly are. He knows our fears, faults, failures and sins. He doesn't need glasses to see into us. He has 20/20 vision when it comes to knowing this. No matter whether we admit these things to Him, or ourselves, He sees everything.

Yet He still loves us. Still wants us to live with him for eternity, still hopes we turn to Him to ask forgiveness and accept the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Amazing grace indeed!

Each morning we wake up to a day that we must navigate through the darkness that the world can bring. Most of what happens around and to us, we have little to no control over, and it becomes easy to lash out, to get angry and lose our cool.

We as Christians are to tell others about God, to help others see the saving grace of Jesus, and plant the seeds that the Holy Spirit gives us. This can mean being unpopular and even hated by those we meet, but through this, we must never forget to continue to treat others with love. For we, followers of Jesus, are still flawed sinners, who also stumble and fall short of His glory.

Teaching truth in love to others is what Jesus wants us to do.

The Bible has parables about the lost sheep, lost coin and of course the lost (prodigal) son, but nothing about the lost kitchen tongs.

Regardless, if you brought a pair of tongs to the church service in the park and are now missing them, rest assured they are safely waiting for you at St. Peter Lutheran. đŸ˜€
