Living Faith Lutheran is collecting pants and leggings for elementary school students in Le Mars. Bring your donations to the bins located near the sign-up table in the church narthex. "Give a Leg Up" until Sept. 13!

A parent/student meeting will be held TONIGHT at 7:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall of the PUCC. Parents and students who are entering grades 6 - 9 are asked to attend to get information from Pastor Paige about the upcoming year. Confirmation begins Wednesday, September 16!

This week's edition of The Weekly News shares highlights from our joint worship service with the Presbyterian United Church of Christ as we celebrated Pastor Jan on her retirement. We look ahead to our "God's Work. Our Hands." Sunday Service Day and our "Give a Leg Up" September Mission Project. We reflect on our congregational activities, and celebrate first days of Preschool, Birthdays, Anniversaries...and just a little Jesus! Jump in to this week's edition!

Sunday was bittersweet but we were blessed with two events that reminded us of how lucky we are as a congregation. We honored a good friend on her retirement and then “sat a spell” at a wonderful Porch Party hosted by members of our congregation. Two special events that have us reflecting on our gratitude for where we have come on our journey as a congregation. Thank you to Pastor Jan Christensen for offering your kindnesses and your leadership to the people of Living Faith Lutheran. We wish you the very best in your retirement. And to the Heerens who hosted a lovely August Social on your beautiful porch in the country, thank you for allowing us to enjoy God’s beauty and the opportunity to enjoy it together.

Remember that Living Faith Lutheran will worship with the members of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ on Sunday, August 30, at 10 AM. There will be no 11 AM worship for Living Faith and no livestreaming will be offered. Don't forget our Noisy Offering and our September Mission Project!

From Backpack Blessings to Porch Parties, Monthly Missions, and an "Until next time" to a good friend of Living Faith, our Sundays are filled with love, joy, service, gratitude, and fellowship. Living Faith will gather with the members of the PUCC for worship on Sunday, August 30, to celebrate Pastor Jan and her last Sunday preaching and serving at the PUCC. Following worship, there will be a brunch reception in the Fellowship Hall. Join us in thanking and recognizing Pastor Jan and all that she has done for our community and for Living Faith Lutheran!

Students in 8th grade and older and their parents are invited to Room 105 this Wednesday, August 26th at 7:00 PM to learn details about the Youth Gathering being held next summer.
