Saint Constantine the Great and Saint Helen are celebrated together in the Greek Orthodox Church on May 21.
Saint Constantine is honored for legalizing Christianity through the Edict of Milan in 313 AD and helping establish Christianity throughout the Roman Empire. Saint Helen is especially revered for her pilgrimage to the Holy Land and the tradition that she discovered the True Cross of Christ in Jerusalem.
Together, they are known as the “Equal-to-the-Apostles” saints because of their major role in spreading and strengthening the Christian faith. Χρόνια πολλά to those who celebrate today 🙏🏼
