Today we said goodbye to our beloved parishioners and dear friends, Katerina and Michael, as they prepare to move to Chicago, where Katerina will begin her medical fellowship in Dermatology at Northwestern University.

On behalf of our Cathedral family, presented them with an icon of Saints Constantine and Helen as a small reminder that they always have a home here at our Cathedral.

We wish Katerina and Michael every blessing in this exciting next chapter. May God guide, strengthen, and protect them always, and may Saints Constantine and Helen intercede for them wherever life takes them.

With joy and thanksgiving, our Cathedral celebrated its Feast Day in honor of Saints Constantine and Helen, the heavenly patrons of our beloved community, which this year fell on the Feast of the Ascension of our Lord.

We were deeply honored to welcome His Grace Bishop Athenagoras of Nazianzos, who presided over the Divine Liturgy and blessed our parish with his presence. Following the service, His Grace spoke beautifully to the faithful gathered, offering words of encouragement and helping our students understand the meaning and significance of this holy day.

Following the Divine Liturgy, we gathered in the hall for a special lamb and souvlaki luncheon. Thank you to all of our volunteers who gave so generously of their time and effort to make everything so wonderful.

We give thanks to God for this blessed celebration, for the intercessions of Saints Constantine and Helen, and for all who joined us in prayer and fellowship on this special day in the life of our Cathedral.
