While we are first and foremost citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven, we at Brock Baptist Church are proud and grateful to also be citizens of the Republic of the United States of America. Our Republic, and the liberties we enjoy within it, are possible because of those who protect our sovereignty, security, and national interest. Today we remember those military servicemembers who gave their lives in service to our nation. The Republic called, and they answered. May we always be citizens worthy of their sacrifice.

After Jesus was arrested, Peter ran and hid, denying Jesus three times out of fear and self-preservation. Yet less than two months later, the same Peter stood before a large crowd in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost and boldly, fearlessly, and powerfully preached that the risen Jesus was the Messiah, Son of God, and Savior.

What changed? Only one thing: Peter encountered the risen Jesus, was baptized by the Holy Spirit, and was transformed into a new man.

Our Resurrected Savior transforms all who encounter Him.

Seek Jesus, trust Jesus, make Him the Lord of your life, and He will transform you.
