After more than 40 years, The Church of God in Christ International organization is returning to Houston, Texas for Holy Convocation 2026 — and we believe God is preparing for a mighty move unlike anything we’ve seen before.

This year’s theme, “Rooted and Grounded,” is a prophetic call for the Body of Christ to be firmly planted in faith, established in love, and strengthened for Kingdom advancement.

“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love…”

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

We, The Church of God in Christ International, are excited to announce that Overseer Christopher Taylor is being elevated to the status of Bishop–Designate.

This elevation is a testament to his unwavering faith, dedicated service, and steadfast commitment to the work of the Lord. Throughout his ministry, he has exemplified spiritual leadership, integrity, and a heart for God’s people, faithfully laboring in both word and deed.

As Bishop–Designate, he will take on greater responsibilities in guiding, nurturing, and strengthening the body of Christ. We are confident that God will continue to use him mightily for the advancement of His Kingdom.

We ask that you join us in prayer as he prepares for this new level of service, that the Lord will grant him wisdom, strength, and continued anointing.

We look forward to his official Consecration during our Holy Convocation In Houston, TX Later this year.

May the grace of God continue to abound in all of our lives.
