When You Can’t See the Way
Last youth night, we played a game called “Life.” 🧱
Each participant was blindfolded and given a brick—the foundation of their life. (Building blocks) Their mission? Get from one end of the room to the other without touching anything, while being guided only by the voice of their team.
Sounds simple, right? 😅
It wasn’t.
Sometimes the instructions weren’t clear. Sometimes they had to start over. Sometimes they stopped because they didn’t know which way to go. And sometimes… they didn’t trust the voice guiding them and decided to do things their own way. That usually ended with a bump, a trip, or disaster. 😂
But then came the lesson:
What happens when we can’t see the way forward?
We can panic.
We can try to figure it out ourselves.
We can listen to every voice around us.
Or we can focus, listen, and trust the voice that knows the way.
That’s exactly what life can feel like.
We don’t always know what’s ahead. We can’t see around every corner. And sometimes God’s instructions don’t make sense to us in the moment.
But God can see what we cannot.
When we learn to recognize His voice, trust His direction, and follow His instructions—even when we can’t see the whole path—we can build our lives on the right foundation.

Youth night wasn’t just about playing a game.
It was about learning how to listen.
Learning how to focus.
Learning how to trust.
And most importantly… learning that God knows best. 🙏🏽
