Rec Thus providing healing opportunities for the incarcerated as well as respecting all faiths and walks of life.

REC through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, provides an opportunity for the Incarcerated to personally encounter Jesus Christ within themselves and others by witnessing and experiencing the power of Christian community. Vision Statement:

Having heard God’s call to serve others, it is the vision of the “Northeast Minnesota Residents Encountering Christ” ministry to continue providing strong cat

holic-based weekends and follow-up programs within the correctional facilities. Recognizing this as God’s Work, we strive to remain open to the direction of the Holy Spirit, as we the volunteers ourselves grow in faith and love, in our spiritual walk with Our Lord Jesus.

Aitkin County Jail REC #40 is scheduled for April 24th through the 26th. The patron St. is Saint Peter.
PRAYER ST. PETER
Today we look to St. Peter, “The ROCK” of the Church, a fisherman, a prisoner, an apostle, a Pope, and a friend. St. Peter pray for the REC team and Recites, the men & women of ACJR #40, that we will encounter Christ and be transformed by His loving mercy. And when we encounter you Lord, and hear your words “Follow me,” may we drop our nets like St. Peter did, leaving our past behind, and follow you, into a new life as your disciples. May the angel of the Lord who helped St. Peter out of his chains and prison (Acts 12:7), help us to be rid of our chains that bind us up in sin and to walk out of the darkness of our internal prisons, into the light of the resurrection.
Holy Spirit you know where to find us, no prison is so dark that your light cannot find us and no wall is so thick that Your voice cannot reach our ears. Help us listen for you Lord, calling our names, and going forth to share the good news that Christ is truly alive.
St. Peter intercede for us in making ACJR #40, a fruitful and loving experience, drawing us closer to the Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Spiritual Directors are discerning on a patron Saint for the weekend. If you want to ask God to allow them to pick the one that He wants That would be awesome. We know that prayers is what makes it all work. That information will be updated here as soon as it is available.
🙏 We ask God to put protect the team as we approach the weekend. Most importantly we pray for those who are incarcerated and their families. 🙏 The Prison Novena should start on Thanksgiving and end on Friday December 5th. I ask for a special blessing on all those who participated in REC’s past. We have and awesome God!
