The Parish of St. Teresa of Calcutta is a Roman Catholic parish formed on July 1st, 2018 by uniting the Church of the Ascension, Bradley Beach, with St.

Elizabeth of Hungary Church, Avon by the Sea.

The Altar Rosary Society will have beautiful mums available for purchase Labor Day weekend at both worship sites after all masses, perfect for brightening up your home this fall. At Ascension, the sale will be near the garage. Large urns, potted mums and hanging baskets will be available for purchase. Please stop by, support our ministry, and take home a beautiful mum! The Diocese is sending a mission priest to our parish this weekend- August 22 and 23rd. He will be speaking at all the weekend masses. The second collection will be taken for a special mission to support the work and urgent need to build a new seminary for future priests.

Just a reminder that Adoration and Confession are canceled this Wednesday. We have a funeral and the parish mission that day, but there will be adoration at the retreat in the evening at St. E’s. Fr. Brown

One of our young parishioners who is attending Avon Elementary School 7th grade is collecting school supplies for those is need. A bin will be at the doorways of St. Elizabeth church August 4th thru the 18th for anyone who would like to donate.

JMJ Missions is coming to St. Rose, Belmar and our Parish Tuesday August 11 through August 13th. Please see the flyer for all the details. If you would like to attend the reception on day 3 please sign up at the church entrances so we can plan for refreshments.

Msgr. James Burke was ordained a priest on May 26, 1956. Please help us celebrate and congratulate him on his being a priest for 70 years. This is rare and considered the Platinum Jubilee of Priest Ordination. Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Church this Sunday June 28th at 10:30AM with refreshments to follow.
