Today is the feast of St. John Vianney. As the patron saint of parish priests, we seek his intercession for our own priests, Fr. Ryan and Fr. Chris.

Please remember to pray for our priests often as they minister within our parish and beyond. All priests need God’s grace to faithfully and joyfully live out their vocation.

Remember also to pray fervently for more vocations to the priesthood in the Diocese of Owensboro. Our diocese now has 14 men who will be in seminary this fall, but we still need more to ensure that our 78 parishes will always have shepherds.

Finally, pray especially for the young men at St. Joseph parish, St. Joseph School, and Chesterton Academy of Bowling Green who may one day discern whether they are called to the priesthood. Pray that they will be formed into good disciples as they grow, and that they will have the courage to say yes to God’s call in their lives, whatever it may be.

Due to the opening of Chesterton Academy of Bowling Green this month, our daily Mass times, confession times, and parish office hours will be changing beginning August 3, 2026.

*Note: All weekend Masses and confession times will remain the same*

⛪️ Weekday Mass times will be as follows:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:45 a.m.
Wednesday: 5:30 p.m.

There will still be a 6:30 p.m. Mass in Spanish on Thursdays.

There will no longer be a 5:30 p.m. Mass on Tuesdays or a 7:00 a.m. Mass on Wednesdays.

🛐 Weekday confession times will be as follows:

Wednesday: 4:15–5:15 p.m.
Thursday: 5:00–6:00 p.m.

📍Parish office hours will be as follows:

Monday through Thursday: 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

⛪️ NUEVO HORARIO DE MISAS A PARTIR DEL 3 DE AGOSTO DE 2026: Con la inauguración del instituto católico Chesterton Academy de Bowling Green en agosto de 2026, cambiarán los horarios de nuestras Misas diarias.

• Los lunes, martes, jueves y viernes, la misa diaria se celebrará a las 7:45 a. m.
• No habrá Misa los martes por la tarde a las 5:30. pm
• Los miércoles la Misa será a las 5:30 pm.

Seminarian Hunter Dickens will be conducting Lector Training for any new or current Lector on Thursday, July 23, 2026, in the Church. The Training will be held at 5:30 pm in English and 7:00 pm in Spanish. If you are interested in attending - All are Welcome. It is not required.

While most minds are still in “summer mode” the parish choir quietly shifts toward preparing for Christmas. It feels strange to sing Christmas carols in the middle of July, so this year the choir would like embrace it by inviting parishioners to join them for their first Christmas rehearsal of the year!

This is an opportunity for parishioners to see what goes into preparing all the beautiful music that supports our liturgies here at St. Joseph, and learn how to participate musically from the pews — it brings the choir so much joy to hear people singing along as we all worship our Lord in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass!

So join in on Wednesday, July 22, at 5:30 p.m. in the choir loft to sing Christmas hymns and enjoy treats of the season as the choir prepares for the upcoming holidays!

Congratulations to our St. Joseph Soccer team for winning the Third Annual Diocese of Owensboro Soccer Tournament. St. Joe won all three games. Fr. Chris even scored a goal in the championship game.

Felicidades al equipo de fútbol de San José por ganar el Tercer Torneo de Fútbol de la Diócesis de Owensboro! San José ganó los tres partidos. El Padre Chris incluso anotó un gol en el partido del campeonato.

Congratulations to our St. Joseph soccer team! Our team is competing in the Holy Spirit Soccer Tournament, bringing together parishes from across the Diocese for a day of friendly competition and fellowship. St. Joseph opened the tournament with a strong 5,0 victory this morning! Our next match is at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, come cheer us on. Go St. Joseph!
