We would like to tell you about Elaine- a resilient woman, taking a brave step toward a new life at The House of Palms.
After more than a decade in recovery, life threw unimaginable hardships her way, leading to a downward spiral of depression, homelessness, and legal trouble. Despite working nearly 40 hours a week, her earnings barely cover daily transportation between her job in Newburgh and court-ordered sobriety testing six days a week in Evansville. She is caught in an exhausting cycle of survival, separated from her child, and stuck in a system that makes starting over feel impossible.
We know that when someone struggling with addiction is ready for change, timing is everything. We can't afford to wait, and we refuse to let her give up.
We are taking a leap of faith to welcome Elaine into our program, trusting that God will provide us the means to do so.
We are stepping up to cover her personal finances and transportation needs for her first six weeks so she can focus on healing, rebuilding her relationship with her child, securing sustainable employment, and placing her trust in Jesus Christ.
How You Can Help:
Elaine needs a hand up, not a handout; at the House of Palms, she will be working hard toward her personal goals and will become self-sufficient. If you feel called to support Elaine with funding, transportation, or essential supplies as she begins her journey, please contact The House of Palms directly.
Every gift helps us build a foundation for her recovery!
