We would like to tell you about Elaine- a resilient woman, taking a brave step toward a new life at The House of Palms.

After more than a decade in recovery, life threw unimaginable hardships her way, leading to a downward spiral of depression, homelessness, and legal trouble. Despite working nearly 40 hours a week, her earnings barely cover daily transportation between her job in Newburgh and court-ordered sobriety testing six days a week in Evansville. She is caught in an exhausting cycle of survival, separated from her child, and stuck in a system that makes starting over feel impossible.

We know that when someone struggling with addiction is ready for change, timing is everything. We can't afford to wait, and we refuse to let her give up.

We are taking a leap of faith to welcome Elaine into our program, trusting that God will provide us the means to do so.

We are stepping up to cover her personal finances and transportation needs for her first six weeks so she can focus on healing, rebuilding her relationship with her child, securing sustainable employment, and placing her trust in Jesus Christ.

How You Can Help:
Elaine needs a hand up, not a handout; at the House of Palms, she will be working hard toward her personal goals and will become self-sufficient. If you feel called to support Elaine with funding, transportation, or essential supplies as she begins her journey, please contact The House of Palms directly.
Every gift helps us build a foundation for her recovery!

Our hearts are heavy. We have lost one of our Palm Sisters. Teresa was our "House Mom" until June. For more than 6 months, she took care of us while she worked toward her own independence. We were so happy for her when she got to move into an apartment of her own. During her time at Impact and then with us here at the House of Palms, Teresa became family to many of us. She is dearly missed.

We would like to give a special shout out to New Hope Community Church of Newburgh. Earlier this summer the ladies at New Hope Church blessed us with a large tote full of goodies for our residents! 🥰 It had a wonderful mix of items from our needs list including kitchenware, gardening supplies, personal hygiene items, office needs, art supplies, housewares and more!
Thank you New Hope ladies for sharing your love, prayers, and gifts with us. 🩷

Haley is our first graduate at The House of Palms! We are so proud of Haley for her hard work the last 6 months. 🩷 She has worked on money management and reducing debt, bonding with her child, she has secured employment, and has been saving for a car and her own place. Most importantly, she has been improving her relationship with Jesus Christ.

Haley is going to continue living with us while she continues to prepare for her and her son to have a place of their own. Her current goals are working toward the purchase of a car and saving funds for their future home.

Congratulations Haley! We love you!
