[42] saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. [43] For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, [44] and shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

Jesus declared to the listening disciples the judgments that were to fall upon apostate Israel, and especially the retributive vengeance that would come upon them for their rejection and crucifixion of the Messiah. Unmistakable signs would precede the awful climax. The dreaded hour would come [26] suddenly and swiftly. And the Saviour warned His followers: "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains." Matthew 24:15, 16; Luke 21:20, 21. When the idolatrous standards of the Romans should be set up in the holy ground, which extended some furlongs outside the city walls, then the followers of Christ were to find safety in flight. When the warning sign should be seen, those who would escape must make no delay. Throughout the land of Judea, as well as in Jerusalem itself, the signal for flight must be immediately obeyed. He who chanced to be upon the housetop must not go down into his house, even to save his most valued treasures. Those who were working in the fields or vineyards must not take time to return for the outer garment laid aside while they should be toiling in the heat of the day. They must not hesitate a moment, lest they be involved in the general destruction.

You are now to get ready for the time of trial. Now you are to know whether your feet are planted on the Eternal Rock. You must have an individual experience, and not depend upon others for your light. When you are brought to the test, how do you know that you will not be alone, with no earthly friend at your side? Will you then be able to realize that Christ is your support? Will you be able to recall the promise, “Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world”? There will be invisible ones all about you bent upon your destruction. Satan and his agents will seek in every way to make you waver from your steadfastness to God and His truth. But if you have an eye single to His glory, you need not take thought as to how you shall witness for His truth. Mar 255.3

Long ago I began to see the world differently, Which in return caused me to live my life differently. That is in accordance to what i see, And what i see is the world through Heavens perspective. Its one thing to look at the world through your own lens but another thing to see the world through the lens of what is written. Christ word, when received into the heart changes the way in which we look at life. The trials in life, and how we are to overcome them. Perspective is everything and how we see things will determine how we go about our everyday life. I encourage you to look at life through Heavens perspective and not your own. For Heavens perspective will keep your thoughts and actions upward.

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps. 1 Peter 2:21.

It is not enough merely to acknowledge Christ. We must follow where He leads the way. His grace is sufficient. He suffered for us, and He has left us an example, that we should follow .... The present is our time of proving. The experience necessary in order to gain the crown of life will bring us far greater crucifixion of self than we have hitherto thought possible. What is the message that the apostle Paul bears to everyone who names the name of Christ? “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds” (Hebrews 12:1-3).

Christ was the Lord of heaven and earth, yet for our sake He became poor, that we through His poverty might be made rich. He was made in the likeness of God, yet He humbled Himself, and took upon Him the form of a servant, that He might save us. He gave His life for our redemption. Will we accept the sacrifice? The only begotten Son of God was numbered with the transgressors, that human beings might not perish, but have everlasting life. Life eternal will be their inheritance, if they will consent to humble their proud heart and become partakers of His suffering. He patiently endured shame and mockery and derision that He might save every sinful human being who would lay hold of Him by living faith. While He hung on the cross, giving His life for our redemption, His murderers mocked Him, saying, “He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him” (Matthew 27:42).... He could have refused thus to die, but He was suffering that the world through Him might be redeemed from Satan’s claim and authority. Through His death all who believe in Him may have eternal life....

The salvation of human beings means much more than many realize. It means that we are to choose God’s way rather than our own. The Lord cannot save men while they refuse to humble themselves under the reproofs and warnings that He sends, strenuously asserting their own will, and following their own course of action.—Letter 133, April 30, 1905, to J. The Spirit of Delusion

The spirit of delusion is a deceptive influence that causes a person to sincerely believe something false. It distorts spiritual perception until lies feel like truth, rebellion feels like obedience, and personal desires are mistaken for the voice of God.

“God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.” — 2 Thessalonians 2:11

Delusion often enters when a person repeatedly rejects truth because truth challenges what they want. Eventually, they no longer merely disagree with correction—they become convinced that correction is persecution.

Signs of spiritual delusion

* Refusing biblical correction while claiming divine revelation
* Constantly changing the interpretation of Scripture to justify personal desires
* Believing everyone who disagrees is jealous, demonic, or against you
* Calling manipulation “discernment” and rebellion “freedom”
* Following feelings, dreams, signs, or prophecies without testing them
* Becoming unteachable and unable to admit wrongdoing
* Possessing confidence without biblical confirmation or godly fruit

How delusion develops

Desire becomes agreement. Agreement becomes deception. Deception becomes a stronghold. The stronghold eventually becomes an alternate reality.

Delusion does not usually begin with a dramatic lie. It begins when someone chooses what is comfortable over what is true.

The biblical safeguard

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God.” — 1 John 4:1

Every revelation must be tested through:

1. Scripture — Does it agree with God’s written Word?
2. Character — Does it produce humility, holiness, love, and accountability?
3. Confirmation — Is it confirmed beyond personal feelings and ambition?
4. Counsel — Can it withstand examination by mature, trustworthy believers?

Prophetic warning

When a person loves their preferred narrative more than truth, deception gains permission to preach to them.

The opposite of delusion is not intelligence—it is humility. A humble person remains teachable, welcomes righteous correction, and asks God to reveal what they cannot see.

Prayer

“Father, expose every lie I have accepted as truth. Purify my discernment, remove pride, and deliver me from self-deception. Give me a genuine love for truth, even when it corrects me. Let my desires never speak louder than Your Word. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

CAN THE DEAD SPEAK TO US?

The ministration of holy angels, as presented in the Scriptures, is a truth most comforting and precious to
every follower of Christ. But the Bible teaching upon this point has been obscured and perverted by the errors of popular theology. The doctrine of natural immortality, first borrowed from the pagan philosophy, and in the darkness of the great apostasy incorporated into the Christian faith, has supplanted the truth, so plainly taught in Scripture, that “the dead know not anything.”

Multitudes have come to believe that it is the spirits of the dead who are the “ministering spirits sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation.” And this notwithstanding the testimony of Scripture to the existence of heavenly angels, and their connection with the history of man, before the death of a human being.
The doctrine of man’s consciousness in death, especially the belief that the spirits of the dead return to minister to the living, has prepared the way for modern Spiritualism. If the dead are admitted to the presence of God and holy angels, and privileged with knowledge far exceeding what they before possessed, why should they not return to the earth to enlighten and instruct the living? If, as taught by popular theologians, the spirits of the dead are hovering about their friends on earth, why should they not be permitted to communicate with them, to warn them against evil, or to comfort them in sorrow? How can those who believe in man’s consciousness in death reject what comes to them as divine light communicated by glorified spirits? Here is a channel regarded as sacred, through which Satan works for the accomplishment of his purposes.
The fallen angels who do his bidding appear as messengers from the spirit world. While professing to bring the living into communication with the dead, the prince of evil exercises his bewitching influence upon their minds.
He has power to bring before men the appearance of their departed friends. The counterfeit is perfect; the familiar look, the words, the tone, are reproduced with marvelous distinctness. Many are comforted with the assurance that their loved ones are enjoying the bliss of Heaven; and without suspicion of danger, they give ear to “seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”

When they have been led to believe that the dead actually return to communicate with them, Satan causes those to appear who went into the grave unprepared. They claim to be happy in Heaven, and even to occupy exalted positions there; and thus the error is widely taught, that no difference is made between the righteous and the wicked. The pretended visitants from the world of spirits sometimes utter cautions and warnings which prove to be correct. Then, as confidence is gained, they present doctrines that directly undermine faith in the Scriptures. With an appearance of deep interest in the well-being of their friends on earth, they insinuate the most dangerous errors The fact that they state some truths, and are able at times to foretell future events, gives to their statements an appearance of reliability; and their false teachings are accepted by the multitudes as readily, and believed as implicitly, as if they were the most sacred truths of the Bible. The law of God is set aside, the Spirit of grace despised, the blood of the covenant counted an unholy thing. The spirits deny the divinity of Christ, and place even the Creator on a level with themselves. Thus under a new disguise the great rebel still carries forward his warfare against God, begun in Heaven, and for nearly six thousand years continued upon the earth. GC88 551.1 - GC88 552.2

God has revealed what is to take place in the last days, that His people may be prepared to stand against the tempest of opposition and wrath. Those who have been warned of the events before them are not to sit in calm expectation of the coming storm, comforting themselves that the Lord will shelter His faithful ones in the day of trouble. We are to be as men waiting for their Lord, not in idle expectancy, but in earnest work, with unwavering faith. It is no time now to allow our minds to be engrossed with things of minor importance. While men are sleeping, Satan is actively arranging matters so that the Lord’s people may not have mercy or justice. The Sunday movement is now making its way in darkness. The leaders are concealing the true issue, and many who unite in the movement do not themselves see whither the undercurrent is tending. Its professions are mild and apparently Christian, but when it shall speak it will reveal the spirit of the dragon. CCh 335.2

“PRIDE is the ROOT of ALL SIN.”

Pride is the sin that exalts self above God. It was pride that caused Lucifer to rebel against the LORD. Instead of worshipping God, he desired God's throne. Because of his pride, he was cast out of heaven, and many angels followed him into rebellion. Pride was the beginning of Satan's fall.

The Bible warns:

“Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”
— Proverbs 16:18 (KJV)

Pride destroys marriages because it refuses to say, “I was wrong.” Pride destroys families because it refuses to forgive. Pride destroys friendships because it insists on being right. Pride causes arguments, division, and church splits because it seeks its own glory instead of Christ's.

Most dangerously, pride keeps sinners from repentance. A proud heart says, “I don't need God,” or, “I'm good enough.” But the Word of God declares that “God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” (James 4:6 KJV). No one enters the kingdom of heaven by pride. We come to Christ by humbling ourselves, confessing our sins, and trusting Him alone for salvation.

Jesus Christ humbled Himself, even unto the death of the cross, to save sinners. If the sinless Son of God humbled Himself, how much more should we humble ourselves before Him?

Do not let pride destroy your soul. Repent while there is time. Humble yourself before the Lord, seek His mercy, forgive others, and walk in obedience to His Word. Those who humble themselves before God will be lifted up, but those who cling to pride are headed for destruction.

“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” (James 4:10 KJV)

Let us remember that Jesus knows us individually, and he cares for each one as though there were not another soul on the face of the earth. He is touched with the feeling of our infirmities. He knows the wants of each of his creatures, and reads the hidden, unspoken grief of every heart. If one of the little ones for whom he died is injured, he sees it; for he is acquainted with all that is misunderstood and misrepresented by man.

Christ has weighed every human affliction, every human sorrow. He bears the weight of the yoke for every soul that yokes up with him. He knows the sorrows which we feel to the depth of our being, and which we can not express. If no human heart is aroused in sympathy for us, we need not feel that we are without sympathy. Christ knows; and he says, “Look unto me and live.”

All the paternal love which has come down from generation to generation through the channel of human hearts, all the springs of tenderness which have opened in the souls of men, are but as a tiny rill to the boundless ocean, when compared with the infinite, exhaustless love of God. Tongue can not utter it; pen can not portray it. You may study that love for ages; yet you can never fully comprehend the length and the breadth, the depth and the height, of the love of God in giving his Son to die for the world.
