Scripture Armory:

Dear one,

Do you ever feel like the enemy is just John 10:10‑ing you without ceasing — stealing, killing, destroying, and trying to wear you down from every angle? I have been there, so know how exhausting and frustrating it can be.

I’m building a little armory of Scripture for moments like that. This armory will include “grab and go verses” you can grab quickly, pray out loud, and use to keep Jesus in your line of sight. Jesus didn’t just model resistance, but called us to cast out the enemy, too. So, you can use these verses while casting out the enemy to put him in his place too, with the authority Jesus gave you.

First weapon in the arsenal: Matthew 4:10.

KJV (my personal favorite translation for this verse): “Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”

NKJV: “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’”

NIV: “Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”” ‭‭ NLT: “Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “For the Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’ ””

When Jesus was tempted, He didn’t debate. He didn’t negotiate. He spoke the Word, and the enemy fled. Now you can choose the translation that resonates with you most and do the same… stand firm, eyes on Jesus.

This is your reminder: Don’t fight with feelings. Don’t fight with willpower. Fight with Scripture like Jesus did.

Dear ones, let us remember:

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.” - Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV)

We may be walking through difficult conditions or have received troubling diagnoses, but let us be clear: these are not from God, and they do not define us. They are not badges to wear as if they own us. God gave us His beloved Son, who brought us life and healing—spirit, soul, and body—in every area of our lives. Sozo is complete wholeness. Let us hold fast to 1 Peter 2:24: “By His stripes we WERE healed.” If we were healed, then we ARE healed. Any negative condition is from the enemy.

For example, a doctor once diagnosed me with an autoimmune disease. But I must be careful not to claim it as mine by saying “my autoimmune disease” or any other label the world might try to place on me. I know I am completely healed. The enemy watches and waits, ready to pounce if I take my eyes off Jesus.

And did you know? The enemy cannot hear our thoughts; but he can hear what we speak. He listens for our fears, for the things we claim and wear like a badge, and he doubles down, hitting us where it hurts.

So, brothers and sisters… shhh. 🤫
Let us keep our eyes on Jesus and guard our tongues, for they truly carry the power of life and death.

Rick and I are praying that whatever the enemy is trying to attack you with, God’s love, peace, protection, and promises will keep you grounded in truth, not in the enemy’s plan. and I pray that the healing ❤️‍🩹 God promised will manifest in this physical world.

Today, we give thanks to Jesus for everything.

We’re grateful for our leaders and for the brave men and women, both active and veterans, who remind us that freedom is never truly free.

Dear ones,

God commanded it, and so it is. Today, from the Earth’s vantage point, we experience what appears to be the longest day of the year, the first day of summer.

Isn’t our God amazing? He thought about it all before we ever existed.

Dear ones,

Stay rooted in His Word, trust only in Him, and do not let the enemy’s whispers deceive your heart. Our feelings can mislead us, but God never does!

Let’s reflect on David’s words of encouragement to his own soul—his mind, will, and emotions—when he felt down:

“Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God.”
