Tim & Annette Gulick
Global
Tim and Annette Gulick have been mentoring and providing resources and training for youth leaders in the Spanish-speaking world since 1996. The website they began, paralideres.org (meaning “for leaders” in Spanish) hosts tens of thousands of pages of free materials—articles, Bible studies, games and training courses—and is visited by thousands daily. Over the last several years, their geographic focus has widened from Latin America to also include Asia and Africa. Through on-site, face-to-face training, as well as through publishing youth ministry materials, Tim and Annette are supporting the Church so that individuals with a passion for helping young people can serve more effectively.

This Sunday’s worship will look and sound a little different from our usual pattern. CenterPoint Praise moves to Sunday morning, bringing a more modern musical style into the sanctuary while remaining firmly rooted in Scripture, prayer, confession, and the great promises of our faith.

Our message is from Psalm 46, reminding us that in every season—through fear, anger, grief, uncertainty, and change—God remains our refuge and strength. Christ is the one who calls us to sing in every season. Our worship will be centered on this enduring truth: “The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress.”

Last weekend in worship, we celebrated the truth that Jesus, our Good Shepherd, is always seeking and saving the lost. Through his work on the cross, even the furthest sheep can be brought back and reconciled to God. But just what does it mean to be “reconciled?”

This weekend, we’ll explore the astounding mercy of our good and gracious God. Through Jesus’ timeless teaching in Matthew 18, we’ll consider how God’s work of reconciliation shapes the way we forgive, restore, and seek reconciliation with one another. Through it all, we’ll remember that we can only participate wholeheartedly in God’s work of forgiveness and restoration when we possess “the mind of Christ.”

Whether you’re seeking reconciliation yourself or struggling to find forgiveness for someone else, simply come - trusting the One who alone restores us with boundless grace.

Love INC
Southwest Florida
The church doorstep is a frequent destination for people in need, but most churches alone cannot fully meet all the needs of every homeless family, single mom, or elderly shut-in who reaches out. The mission of Love INC is to mobilize the churches in Bonita Springs, Estero, North Naples, and San Carlos Park. It is a network of churches that links church ministries and volunteers to those needing help and enables churches in a community to pool their resources and services so that people do not need to be turned away. The Love INC Clearinghouse is where trained church volunteers screen requests for help from callers and then connect those in need with the appropriate church ministry or community service organization. Love INC works cooperatively with churches, non-profit agencies, and city and county services to provide help for the disadvantaged and to share God’s love.

The Bible is filled with "pastoral" language — not preachers in churches, but sheep in fields. From Psalm 23 to John 10, we are anchored in the comforting presence of our Good Shepherd. We, the sheep of his pasture, are led both through life's dark valleys and its lush countrysides by the One who keeps us safe and at peace.

This Sunday, our Shepherd will lead us to drink from the river of worship, where we come to be nourished, comforted, and even challenged. As we consider his charge to love "the least of these," we will wonder anew what it means to follow him in all areas of life, especially to the places that feel unfamiliar and uneasy. Come as the people of his pasture, confident that our Shepherd knows us and our every need, eager to simply listen for his kind and caring voice.

David Meade
Global | Propempo International
A former missionary to the Philippines, David is the founder and director of Propempo International. His primary ministry is teaching, training, and consulting local church leaders for the purpose of designing and implementing an effective and intentional missions ministry, primarily in strategic unreached fields overseas. This relationship extends to mentoring missionary candidates and field missionaries, offering pastoral ministry to those in strategic, creative-access fields (places that are usually very difficult for missionaries to enter or sustain a presence), counseling and advising on new field development, and interfacing with mission-sending agencies.

Jesus asked his disciples a question that every generation of Christians must answer: “But who do you say that I am?” (Mark 8:29)

This Sunday, we will listen again to the many voices that answer that question. Scripture declares that Jesus Christ is Lord. Our hymns and anthems proclaim him as Savior, friend, and the One in whom our hope is found. And in Mark’s Gospel, Jesus tells his disciples what it means for him to be the Messiah, and what it means for us to follow Christ alone.
