With all my heart, I will praise the Lord. Let all who are helpless, listen and be glad. I asked the Lord for help, and he saved me from all my fears. If you honor the Lord, his angel will protect you. If you obey the Lord, he will watch over you and answer your prayers. When his people pray for help, he listens and rescues them from their troubles. The Lord is there to rescue all who are discouraged and have given up hope. The Lord saves the lives of his servants. Run to him for protection, and you won't be punished.

There are times when the Christian life seems beset by dangers, and duty seems hard to perform. But the clouds that gather about our way, and the perils that surround us, will never disappear before a halting, doubting, prayerless spirit. At such times unbelief says, We can never surmount these obstructions; let us wait until we can see our way clearly.” But faith courageously urges an advance, hoping all things, believing all things....
The prayer may well be offered daily by those who have the fear of God before them, that He will preserve their hearts from evil desires, and strengthen their souls to resist temptation.... . FH 14.5-FH 14.6
