Ah, summer in the Lowcountry. The pace slows, the air gets heavy, and somehow everything just feels a little easier. We think it's the humidity. We're blaming the humidity.

And you know what? There's no better time to find your Sunday morning place. Smaller crowds, incredible sermons, and all that beautiful sunshine streaming through the windows. We would love to see your sunny face this summer!

Come as you are. All are welcome! 🌈

Join us Sunday at 10 AM — 110 Malphrus Rd., Bluffton.

Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈✨

Sharing a little history: Pride began as a protest. In June 1969, the community at the Stonewall Inn in New York City fought back against police raids that had long targeted LGBTQ+ people. Those acts of resistance sparked a movement that changed history. Among those present were Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera (photo here!), two transgender women of color who went on to become tireless activists and enduring icons of the LGBTQ+ liberation movement. The first Pride marches followed in 1970, held in direct commemoration of that uprising.

More than five decades later, Pride is both a celebration and a continuing call for justice. At UUCL, we don't wait for June to show up for our LGBTQ+ family - it's woven into who we are in our worship, our community, our leadership, and our welcome. Every person who walks through our doors deserves to be fully seen, fully celebrated, and fully loved!

This June, we celebrate the brave people who came before us, the vibrant community we're building together, and the work still ahead!

Happy Pride from your UUCL family. 🌈

We're so glad to welcome Rev. Clint Tawes back to UUCL this Sunday!

His message, The Depth of the Well, is one we think this moment calls for: in a world that feels more divided by the day, curiosity isn't just a soft skill. It's a path - toward deeper compassion, wiser justice, and real transformation.

Join us for service at 10am, then stay for talk-back at 11:15.

One of the things that drew so many of us to UUCL is the belief that faith has to mean something beyond Sunday morning. That it has to show up in the world - in the way we treat our neighbors, in the causes we stand behind, in the communities we fight for. That's the heartbeat of our Social Justice committee.

Our members are actively engaged in work that spans immigration, environmental justice, racial equity, Trans rights, and more. Some of it is local. Some of it ripples outward. All of it is rooted in the conviction that every person has inherent worth and dignity - and that those aren't just words we say, they're a standard we hold ourselves to.

If you've ever felt the pull to do more, to connect your values to real action, this community has a place for you. No experience required. Just a genuine desire to show up and be part of something meaningful. Come find us any Sunday in Bluffton, or learn more here: uulowcountry.org
