Today we celebrate Holy Trinity Sunday, reflecting on the mystery of God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Trinity is not only who God is—it is also at the heart of Christ’s mission for His Church.

In the Great Commission, Jesus sends His followers into the world, saying, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19).

Notice how the Trinity is right at the heart of that calling.

As we worship today, may we be renewed in our calling to make disciples, serve our neighbors, and bear witness to the grace of the Triune God.

What began as a rushing wind and tongues of fire became the birth of the Church and a reminder that God’s Spirit is still moving today.

As we worship today on this Pentecost, may we be reminded that the same Spirit that empowered the disciples continues to guide, comfort, strengthen, and unite us.
