This week we’re highlighting Denise, who serves as our song leader (and so much more) and helps guide our congregation in worship each Sunday.

Denise shared that one of the things she loves most about leading worship in a traditional church is singing the old hymns. She sees this as a way of sharing the gift God has given her with her church family.

When asked if there is one hymn that never gets old to her, Denise said it’s hard to choose just one, but Blessed Assurance is always a favorite—along with many of the other hymns in the hymnal.

Denise also offered encouragement to those who feel nervous about singing in church. She shared:

“I’m nervous every time I sing! When you're using your voice, heart, and mind praising the Lord, it’s always a joyful sound. Sing out!”

We are thankful for those who help lead our congregation in worship each week.
