Anxiety is one of the most widespread struggles in human experience, and Scripture offers a surprising remedy: humility. First Peter 5:6-7 connects the act of casting our anxieties on God directly to humbling ourselves under His mighty hand. Pride and anxiety are deeply linked, because a proud heart refuses to trust God's goodness and timing. Gratitude, which flows from humility, leaves no room for anxiety to take root. God promises His presence to the humble, and wherever the Prince of Peace dwells, anxiety subsides. Casting our cares on Him is not a passive act but a decisive, faith-filled release. He is able to carry what we cannot, and He proved it at the cross. Because He genuinely cares for us, we can walk at the pace of grace rather than sprinting ahead of Him in worry.
