We are so excited at Hope South to share that we were recently awarded a SHIP (Scott County Statewide Health Improvement Partnership) grant!
A few months ago, we applied for funding to purchase new carts for our location. These carts get a tremendous amount of use-unloading pallets after deliveries, helping assemble food bags, moving produce throughout the building, and so much more. After years of service, some of our old carts wouldn’t even roll straight anymore!
We were thrilled to learn that our grant application was approved. Thanks to this funding, we were able to purchase 10 new carts to support our operations. With the help of our amazing volunteers, we were able to assemble the carts and put them right to use serving our community.
We are incredibly grateful for this grant and extend our sincere thanks to the SHIP organization for their generosity and support of our mission. Your investment helps us continue providing food and hope to those who need it most.
