Spring Hill Baptist Church - Blackstone Virginia We exist to be a community based church, impacting the world through Jesus Christ. Rev. J. W. D. Thomas White Sydnor, D. Travis L. C. Warren, Prince George, Virginia.

The Cool Spring Baptist Church was organized on April 16, 1844, with fifty-four white members and eighty-five African American members. Creath was chosen as Pastor on July 6, 1844 and served until Sept 5, 1846. was selected to serve as Pastor until dissolution of the Cool Spring Baptist Church. In the middle of the 1860's, the white congregation decided to purchase land and build a new church, now

located on South Main Street in Blackstone, Virginia currently Blackstone Baptist Church. About the same time, the white members sold their interest in the church building to the African American members and it was renamed Spring Hill Baptist Church. A church site in Blackstone, Virginia was chosen which is the present location of Spring Hill Baptist Church and ground breaking took place on Sunday, July 1, 1945. On Sunday May 26, 1946, the first worship service was held in the new building. We have had many Pastors in this great church and our Pastor now is Rev. Warren was elected on December 10, 2007 in a church wide election. Warren is married to First Lady Letitia Warren and they have four children.

SHBC’s scripture for the year Romans 8:28 “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose” was very much in effect on Sunday for the after service reception for our Women’s Day Mother’s Day event 🌸💕

Gift bags were distributed, photos taken and Love was shown from beginning to end❤️
