What a great day it was celebrating Fathers Day at New Beginning. It was incredibly special, because we had the opportunity to recognize Deacon Norvell Hampleton as the Father of our Church.

We are immensely grateful for the role that all of our men play in the lives of our church and their families.

Scholarship Recipients @ New Beginning 2026

CINNAMON CROMER
Granddaughter of Deacon & Deaconess Kennie Buchanan; daughter of Dewey Cromer
Asheboro High School
Cinnamon has combined academic achievement with two part-time jobs and an Apprenticeship with Toyota North Carolina. She will attend Guilford Technical Community College and major in their Engineering program, then transfer to NC A& T State University to earn her Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.

KENBRIYA SMITH
Granddaughter of Maria Johnson
KenBriya graduated Montgomery Central High School with a 3.0+ GPA. She was on the Cheerleading Squad for all four years of high school, and she was Head Cheerleader during her Junior and Senior years. She wants to pursue a degree in Business with a concentration in Real Estate at UNC-Greensboro.

KA’MYSHA TAYLOR
Daughter of Earnest & Michelle Taylor; Granddaughter of Deacon & Deaconess Robert & Evelyn Dunn
Ka’Mysha has been on the Lady Timberwolves Basketball Team all four years of her high school tenure. She has been an active participant in the Beta Club. She will attend UNC-Pembroke to Major in Nursing and she wants to become a Travel Nurse.
