Rise, shine, and give God the glory!

Today is Election Day in Alabama. The polls open at 7:00 a.m. this morning and will close at 7:00 p.m. tonight. Let us exercise our right to vote for which so many marched, prayed, and fought.

Do not sit this one out. Take your family, call your friends, encourage your congregation, and let your voice be heard at the ballot box.

Let’s Go Vote!

Yesterday in Selma, Alabama, Bishop Julius H. McAllister, Jr. led clergy and community members across the Edmund Pettus Bridge during the All Roads Lead to the South National Day of Voting Rights.

With humility and honor, Bishop McAllister stood behind the foot soldiers, giving rightful credit to those whose courage, sacrifice, and struggle paved the way for us to march today.

This was a historic and momentous moment for the Ninth Episcopal District, and Bishop McAllister represented us extremely well as we stood for justice, remembrance, and the sacred right to vote.
