Zion Baptist Church, Ishkooda has been serving the Ishkooda community and the city of Birmingham for over 121 years. We believe that while we were yet sinners, Christ died that all men might be saved. It is our responsibility, as believers and benefactors of the blessings of salvation, to seek and to save those that are loss. Our mission, that we have joyfully and graciously accepted, is to “SAVE

SOULS & CHANGE LIVES.” We will carry out this mission through “Evangelism and Discipleship.” Continuing in the Love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, that we may bear fruit, more fruit and much fruit.

What a blessing it was to celebrate the 126th Church Anniversary of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Ishkooda!

Generations have come through these doors—praying, praising, serving, sacrificing, and laying a foundation for those who would come behind them.

We didn’t make it this far because every year was easy. We made it because God has been faithful.

As we celebrate where He has brought us from, we look forward with faith to where He is taking us next.
