On September 1, 2026, Oak Mountain will welcome the Reverend Dr. Greg Perry as its Executive Pastor. Greg grew up in the church in Texas and Louisiana. An ordained teaching elder, Dr. Perry has served many congregations in the PCA from Atlanta to D. C. to St Louis, where he also served on the faculty of Covenant Seminary for 14 years.

Greg is the father of three adult children and married to Darlene, his wife of 12 years. They both served as missionaries with Mission to the World, Darlene in Mexico City and Quito, Ecuador, and Greg in Sydney, Australia.

For the past nine years, Greg and Darlene have served global church leaders through Third Millennium Ministries, based in Orlando, Florida. In 2018, Greg helped found Thirdmill Seminary. Darlene joined the Seminary team in 2020 to help with the accreditation process, which was completed successfully in 2023. Through its innovative programs that link credentialed faculty with local mentors, Thirdmill Seminary students enjoy affordable access to a sound theological education in both English and Spanish.

While Darlene will continue to serve as the Seminary’s Director of Administration, supervising its student services and communications staff, Greg brings his focus, creativity, experience, and gifts to the leadership team at Oak Mountain.

It’s never too late to join Worship Choir! All are welcome to join the choir regardless of your music experience. Choir meets on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 pm in the Choir Room throughout the Fall and Spring. In addition to Sunday morning song preparation, we rehearse in the Fall for our Christmas Worship Service and in the Spring for our Palm Sunday Worship Service.
