One year ago today, America lost Charlie Kirk.

But before we remember Charlie as a conservative leader, an activist, a debater, or one of the most influential voices of his generation, we should remember him first for something far more important:

Charlie Kirk was a follower of Jesus Christ.

He was a husband. A father. A man who was increasingly unafraid to speak openly about his faith and to stand for truth in a culture that desperately needed to hear it.

Charlie understood that the battle for America was deeper than politics. He recognized that a generation needed truth. He walked onto college campuses where Christianity and conservative values were routinely challenged, opened the microphone, and refused to be intimidated into silence.

And yes, his influence on the conservative movement was enormous. He awakened young Americans to what was happening in their nation. He challenged them to think. He defended freedom. He confronted lies. And he demonstrated that conviction does not require cowardice.

But today, politics should take second place.

Today we remember a man whose earthly life ended far too soon. We remember Erika. We remember his children. We remember a family that has now lived an entire year without a husband and father.

And we remember that for the believer, death does not have the final word.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7

Charlie Kirk was only 31 years old, but he made his years count.

May his courage remind Christians everywhere that this is not the hour to hide our faith, dilute the truth, or surrender our voice.

Jesus Christ is still Lord. Truth is still truth. And the light still shines in the darkness.

Today, we remember Charlie Kirk. 🇺🇸
