This week, a team of four from Journey has been serving in Columbia, Missouri, at the Christian Campus House at the University of Missouri. They are wrapping up their time there, having spent the week doing hands-on work to help prepare the space for students this fall, creating an environment where ministry and community can thrive once the semester begins. Please be praying for them as they finish strong and travel home safely, and that the work they’ve done would continue to bless the ministry on campus in the months ahead.

This week, Cody shared about the persecuted church around the world and encouraged us to take time to learn more and pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are suffering for their faith.

If you’d like to stay informed and be praying regularly, here are a few helpful resources:

• Open Doors — https://www.opendoorsus.org/en-US/stories/
• Voice of the Martyrs — https://www.persecution.com/
• Barnabas Aid — https://www.barnabasaid.org/us/

Take some time this week to read, learn, and pray for the global Church.

Around the world, many believers face persecution simply for following Jesus. Some lose jobs, freedom, relationships, and even their lives because of their faith.

Yet in places where the cost is highest, people continue to say yes to Him.

For many of us, the cost looks different. But the question remains the same: Is Jesus worth it to you?

Jesus teaches that persecution is not a sign of God's absence but often a result of faithfully following Him. Throughout Scripture, we see God sustaining His people through opposition and using difficult circumstances to advance His Kingdom. As followers of Christ, we are called to stand firm in our faith, support our persecuted brothers and sisters, and trust that God is at work even in the midst of suffering.

The rain really let loose this morning, and some came in soaking wet—but it didn’t keep us from worshipping together!

Today we wrapped up our Beatitudes series. We hope it’s encouraged you to live the way Jesus taught.

Tomorrow we wrap up our series on the Beatitudes, where we've been looking at what Jesus says a life that follows Him actually looks like.

If you don't have a church home, we'd love for you to join us at 10:00 AM. No matter where you've been or where you're at in your faith, you're welcome here.

Come a little early, grab a cup of coffee, and take a few minutes to connect with someone.

Hope to see you tomorrow.

Huge thanks to everyone who came out tonight to support our Japan mission team at Trivia Night! We had a great time, shared lots of laughs, and enjoyed some friendly competition.

It turned into a really close race at the end, but last year’s winners are still undefeated! Thanks to everyone who played, donated, and helped make the night a success. We appreciate all the support as we get ready for this trip to Japan!

Last call to sign up for Trivia Night tomorrow!

These are the reigning champions from last year, and they're hoping to take home the title again. The question is: are you really going to let that happen?

Grab some friends, put together a team, and join us for a night of fun, competition, and plenty of laughs while supporting our Japan Mission Team. If you don't have a full table but still want to play, we have tables with open spots available.

Think your team has what it takes to knock off the champs?

Peacemakers do more than keep the peace—they work to bring peace. They step into brokenness, point people to truth, and help reconcile people to God through Jesus.

As we’ve walked through the Beatitudes, we’ve seen how each one builds on the next, shaping us into people who reflect Christ. The result is a life that seeks peace and shares the hope of the gospel with others.

May we be people who don’t just avoid conflict, but actively bring God’s peace wherever we go.

Peacemaking is not what makes us children of God—it is one of the clearest signs that we are. Through faith in Jesus Christ, God has adopted us into His family and reconciled us to Himself. Because He is the God of peace, His children are called to reflect His character.

Jesus made peace through His blood on the cross, tearing down the walls that separated us from God and from one another. He did not simply end hostility; He created a new people united in Him. Now, those who have experienced that reconciliation are entrusted with the ministry of reconciliation.

In a world marked by division, anger, and conflict, Kingdom citizens are called to be different. We don't merely avoid conflict or keep the peace. We actively pursue reconciliation, speak truth with grace, and point people to the only One who can bring lasting peace—Jesus Christ.

Where might God be calling you to be a peacemaker today?
