Do you know that the phrase "Separation of Church and State" is not found in our governing documents?

The First Amendment states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion (denomination) or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."

The way we've been led to believe is not the original meaning of those who framed this Amendment.

The religious principles that the Founders once encouraged under the First Amendment are now prohibited.

For instance, Fisher Ames, The Founding Father who offered the final wording of the First Amendment for the House noted that the Bible was the principle source of sound morals in America and therefore must never be separated from the classroom.

It's odd how the Amendment he helped write now prohibits the activities he once encouraged using this very Amendment.

How America needs to be viewed again.

These statements below are quotes from Alexis de Tocqueville (July 29, 1805-April 16 1859). He was a French aristocrat, diplomat, sociologist, political scientist, political philosopher, and historian. He traveled to America in the 1830's.

In France I had almost always seen the spirit of religion and the spirit of freedom marching in opposite directions. But in America I found they were intimately united and that they reigned in common over the same country.

In the United States, the sovereign authority is religious...there is no country in the world where the Christian religion retains a greater influence over the souls of men than in America, and there can be no greater proof of its utility and of its conformity to human nature than that its influence is powerfully felt over the most enlightened and free nation of the earth.

I sought for the key to the greatness and genius of America in her harbors...; in her fertile fields and boundless forests; in her rich mines and vast world commerce; in her public school system and institutions of learning. I sought for it in her democratic Congress and in her matchless Constitution.
Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits flame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power.

I once read that when one engages in their fleshly desires & fantasies, they're not often too surprised that they don't live up to all the hype that was placed upon them.

Be careful of what desires you allow satan to try and persuade you with. Sometimes it only takes 1 bad decision to ruin the rest of your life.

In all thy ways Acknowledge Christ and He will direct your paths.
