After the suffering of the cross, Jesus is laid in the tomb.
‘And when the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea… and laid Jesus in his own new tomb.’ (Matthew 27:57–66, KJV) The world is quiet, and sorrow hangs heavy. But hope is coming.

"And when the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple... And they set a seal upon the stone, and departed."

Jesus endured the cross, suffering and giving His life.
He chose the cross—for us.
