Ben Lomond Quaker Center Ben Lomond Quaker Center While most people stay overnight, the facilities and the grounds are wonderful for day-long events, particularly during mid-week.

Nestled in 80 acres of coastal redwoods, tan oaks and madrones, Quaker Center is a serene space where many guests seek, and find, spiritual replenishment. Quaker Center has two lodge facilities and five personal retreat spaces for spiritual retreats, conferences, workshops, reunions and weddings.

Tuesday and Wednesday brought a trip to two beaches - along the San Lorenzo River and the Monterey Bay. We continued our long standing tradition of evening worship along the coast and celebrated Ben's birthday! It's hard to believe we are already more than half way through the first session.

In this month's online program, Organizing for Climate Resilience, we've been learning about how to begin developing climate resilience in our local communities and meetings. Cherice Bock, the program leader, encourages communities to start by looking at "assets" rather than needs. Sometimes acknowledging what we have is the first step towards finding the hope to face the future.
