Calvary Lutheran Church

Calvary Lutheran Church Jesus died and rose to save us from sin. We have certain hope of eternal life in heaven! Calvary Lutheran consists of both a church and a preschool.

The church is affiliated with the Wisconsin Lutheran Evangelical Synod. Here's what to expect in a worship service. Each service has hymns to sing, with ready-made help from a singing congregation. We pray, we read lessons from the Bible, we offer a 20-minute sermon on some text from the Bible, we give God our praise and ask him for his blessings. Pastor gives clear directions for worship so every

one can follow along. Calvary Lutheran Preschool and Kindergarten provides a developmentally appropriate curriculum to help our children grow physically, emotionally, cognitively, socially, and most importantly spiritually. We teach our students the necessary, basic truths from Holy Scripture for eternal life with Jesus.

God has placed people in your life who are drifting with the sinful current, and love does not remain silent when sin leads to death. Yet we speak as rescued sinners, because the Father sent Jesus to carry all our guilt to the cross, rise again, and give us life through faith in him. Listen first to God's Word and to the hurting person, then speak with patient love that points them away from danger and to safety in Christ.

Every day, we're swept along by powerful currents. The world tells us to stay silent, follow our desires, seek revenge, earn God's favor, live for ourselves, and compromise when standing for Christ becomes difficult. Yet Jesus calls his people to live differently. In this new sermon series, Against the Current, we'll talk about how the Christian life isn't about drifting with the crowd but following our Savior wherever he leads. Swimming against the current isn't always easy, but Christ gives us the strength, grace, and courage to stand firm in his truth and live the life he has prepared for us.

When God seems silent, we are tempted either to demand an answer on our terms or to believe we are too unworthy to ask. Yet the Father has already shown his merciful heart by giving his Son, who carried our sins to the cross, rose victorious, and opened heaven to us freely by grace alone through faith alone. Bring every prayer to him with confidence, trusting that whatever comes from his merciful hands is more than enough because Jesus is more than enough.
