More historical info: in the coldest part of winter, boys spent Saturday nights in the furnace room firing the furnace until it was cherry red , but not so hot that it might start a fire. This was necessary to get the church warm for Sunday Service. On Sundays in the winter season the area above the furnace was exceedingly popular, especially with the ladies, The bravest of the women took turns standing over the grating for short periods with their long skirts billowing out and trapping enough heat to sustain them through the service.

We have been blessed to receive cleaning supplies for our Blessing Box from Church and Dwight Company. Thanks to Bob Musser and Sue Andrews for making the trip to Fostoria for the pick-up. Thanks to our young men for unloading and moving to a storage area. And a special thanks to Church and Dwight Company. God watches over our little church.

The cleaning supplies will be occasionally placed into the Blessing Box. Please take one container at a time so that everyone can also experience these blessings. No hoarding needed..there is plenty and we can ask for more.

This Sunday, May 24th we will worship at the Bellevue Cemetery. We will meet near the Maintenance Building at 4:00 pm to visit graves, say some silent prayers and to place small bouquet flowers on the graves. Each person can decide to visit family graves, the graves of past members or just any grave of interest. We will have a short Worship Service which will begin at 5:00 pm and then encourage worshippers to attend the Community Worship Service at 6:00 at Central Park.
This Memorial Day let make sure that they may be gone, they may be unknown but they will not be forgotten.
Everyone and anyone is welcomed to attend.

The work on the Butterfly Garden has begun. Follow us on Facebook as this progresses over time or drive by the Attwood Terrace part of the church. Soon there will be a list of thanks but just as plants grow our list is growing! When it is close to being finalized we will post. We are just so thankful for all of the support we have been given.
