Grief is a journey that no one feels prepared for. In fact, it can feel a lot like being unexpectedly dropped into the middle of the woods at night—you don’t know which way is forward, and it can feel disorienting. Navigating this path can stir many different emotions, from sadness to anger to confusion and even despair. But it’s important to know that no matter what you’re feeling, it’s normal. And there are strategies you can take to find relief.

One strategy involves identifying the emotions you’re feeling right now through journaling. Journaling is simply getting your thoughts and emotions out on paper, and it’s like shining a light on your experience. Facebook friends, family, and church family….. There is middle aged grandmother of 3 in our community who is in need of a little extra help. She’s working hard to move into a safe, stable home but needs $800 for a security deposit by November 1st. She has checked every local respurce with no luck and is running out of time for this to become a reality.
We know times are tough, but when we come together, miracles happen. Every dollar — big or small — makes a difference. Let’s show her that she’s not alone and that the heart of God beats strongest through His people. 💜 It’s amazing that this opportunity for a new home has even come availabile to her. She recently redicated her life to Christ and is ready for this new journey.
If you feel led to give or share this post, please do so. Together, we can lift this burden and be the hands and feet of Jesus. 🙏✨

Keep On Walking
By: Rev. Melinda Harvey

Psalms 23 say: “you lead me” and down a little further it say “yeah though I walk” and reminds us again “you lead me”!

Is Christ leading your life today? Sometimes in the midst of our storm and our problems, our needs, our confusion and uncertainty, and through grief and loss we have to just keep on walking. It’s easy to back down or just sit down when all Hell is ascending against you and pull the covers over our head and retreat and give up. But I’m living proof that you just have to keep on walking. God is a faithful God who promises to never leave you or forsake you.

We must trust in an unknown God to lead you, to guide you, to speak life and direction into your heart and mind and you just gotta keep walking. In the old hymn, The Garden, it says “And He walks with me, and He talks with me, And He tells me I am His own.” The word says he would make every crooked way straight for us, that he would remove every stumbling block from our path, he would lead you beside still waters and into the paths of righteous for his name sake. Throughout the old testimony God walked…….He walked with the children of Israel throughout the wilderness. He walked with Moses thru the Red Sea, he walked in the fiery furnace with the three Hebrew boys, Jesus walked up Galgotha’s hill and endured those stripes for your healing and his crucifixion for your salvation. So I encourage you today to keep walking. Get up move your feet and let God do the rest because he will be with you and bring you through. Just Keep on Walking! Amen!
