Faithful and Found

Faithful and Found A subscription box of spiritual enrichment tailored for Christian women. Hello everyone. My name is Andrea Adkins and I live in Bellevue.

Immerse yourself in the beauty of our faith with devotional journals, faith-based books, Christian items, prayer cards, and other faith resources delivered right to your door. I am a member of Immaculate Conception Church and I am also a companion for the Precious Blood Priests at the Sorrowful Mother Shrine. I have been a Catholic all of my life; taught CCD, sang in the choir, sent my kids to Cat

holic school (just like me). While my husband is baptized Catholic, he is not practicing and somewhere in the years of our marriage, it became easy to just not practice either. About two years ago I heard God calling me and calling me and perusing me. With encouragement from my twin sister, I returned to God and the church. Ever since then it has been a beautiful spiritual journey each and every day. One day I decided to go to the Shrine for mass. I can't explain the peace and love I felt when I walked into the Chapel that day. I was "home" and I have been attending mass there ever since. I was then asked if I was interested in becoming a companion and I made my covenant last May. Then I was encouraged to become a Eucharistic Minister. It is an honor and a priviledge to participate in mass this way. I look forward to getting to know all of you and to journey together in our Faith closer and closer to Jesus and the Father.

Today is the Feast Day of St. Ignatius.

One of his teachings is Ignatian contemplation - a method of prayer that involves using our imagination to bring scripture to life.

Jesuit 101: Ignatian Contemplation, Encountering God Through Our Imagination

Imagine yourself in a Gospel story. Pick a character to be, or one to follow. Use your senses to form a full and intimate picture of the scene in your mind. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your prayer. Imaginative prayer is not an attempt to discover “what really happened.” It is an effort to enter more deeply into Scripture and to get to know Jesus more intimately.

“Realizing that you were redeemed from your futile conduct, handed on by your ancestors, not with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ as of a spotless unblemished lamb” (1Peter 1:18-19).

The entire month of July is dedicated to the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ. The divine-human life of our Savior was in His blood; shedding this blood meant the loss of life which was offered to God for our sins. We are redeemed only through His Most Precious Blood.

SNEAK PEAK - the book for the July subscription box

Building a Legacy of Faith - It’s never too early…it’s never too late. Building a lasting legacy of faith is a lifestyle, not a time of life.
God has a race marked out for you to run. (Heb. 12:1-3) It doesn’t matter who you are, how old you are, or where you are in life.

You may be running your race already, or maybe you feel like you’re already done, or think you are too busy to run. But your race is waiting. God has put people in your everyday life that are looking for hope and longing for someone to cheer them on.
