The worship service includes a mix of contemporary and traditional hymns. Pastor Ken delivers sermon series that take an in-depth look at entire books of the Bible over several months. We celebrate communion the first Sunday of each month. Junior church (ages 4-10) and a nursery are provided for children at the 10:45a.m. service. Sunday School @ 9:45

Olive Branch Baptist Church is dedicated to advancing the Kingdom of Jesus Christ through public worship of God, the preaching of the Gospel, consistent Christian living by its members, personal evangelism, missionary endeavor, and Christian education, according to the teachings and practices of the Baptists and the distinctive principles for which they stand. We are part of the American Baptist Churches of Pennsylvania and Delaware (ABCOPAD). Olive Branch Baptist Church is a welcoming, vibrant, and growing place of worship with something for everyone. We are continually looking for ways to reach out to others and share God's plan. We invite you to join us for Sunday school, worship, prayer, Bible study, and local and international ministry/mission work. Examples of local ministries include:

- Impact Ministry, which provides meals, visitation, prayer, and scripture reading to our shut-ins and those who are ill and need encouragement

- Showering Blessing Ministry, which opens up the church doors the third Saturday of each month to distribute clothing, toiletries, and other necessities to our neighbors in the Smithton, Jacobs Creek, and Van Meter areas

The Olive Branch Baptist Church building dates back to 1857. Over the years, it has undergone many physical changes, inside and out, but the congregation's love and enthusiasm for serving God remains steadfast. Pastor Ken Sommerfeldt joined the church on January 10, 2010 moving from southeast Kansas with his wife Paula of over 39 years. Pastor Ken retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service.

Our OBBC ladies had a wonderful time at our inaugural Spring Fling! Dressed in their "Sunday best," everyone enjoyed a nostalgic journey learning about the lives of women in the 1950s. The afternoon was made even more special as we dined together using beautiful, vintage-inspired china and tea cups.
