Where is Your Kingdom?
Many professing Christian's are too busy building their kingdom instead of building God's kingdom. As christians, we are not here to build our kingdom, we are here to build God's kingdom, our citizenship is in heaven as scripture says in Philippians 3:20. Jesus said as recorded in
Matthew 6:33
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Part of seeking first the kingdom of God is to help others get there, but you don't see too many christians out witnessing and sharing the gospel to help get lost sinners into the kingdom of God, they're too busy doing their own thing, building their own kingdom down here. Yes we have to go to work, pay bills etc.,but the first thing we need to do is put God's kingdom first instead of our little kingdom and if you put anything before the Lord, you are building your own kingdom and that is idolatry.
I'll hear professing christians say, "I can't wait until the Lord comes back" and "Jesus is going to return someday praise the Lord" they aren't really looking forward to the Lord coming back, you know why? because they have too much going on down here, they're too busy building their little kingdom, buying and selling, planning on going on vacations etc. Of course there is nothing wrong with doing those things, but the thing is, God gets put second and they act like their citizenship is here when it's supposed to be heaven, we as christians are just passing through here, we are to be ambassadors for Christ as it says in 2 Corinthians 5:20. Jesus is our King and Lord and He and His kingdom are to come first. If we take care of God's business first, He will take care of ours.
