The Vestry is working on assembling a strategic plan for the next five years. As part of that process, we would like to hear from you -

1. If we accomplished one thing in the next five years, what would you want it to be
2. What do we do well as a parish?
3. What could we do better?
4. What opportunities and challenges do you see around us?

Feedback can be given on the gigantic Post-its in the parish hall, left in the comments, or emailed to Fr. Nathan at [email protected]

I am doing the work this week of recording the Turtle Mass into the parish register. This register helps us keep track of what we have done, helps the Diocese see that everything is in order, and is often used by historians to understand what has been happening in history better.

We will be making lunch for Habitat for Humanity volunteers on Saturday 6/20 and 6/27. Habitat for Humanity is looking for things like Fried Chicken, Sandwiches and Potato Salad, or other lunch fare.

The meals are for about 18 people, and can be (and hopefully will be) shared between multiple people. Meals will be dropped off at the church and driven to the work site. If you are interested in signing up, sign up here: https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/sv/i6chWuA/Emmanuellunches

Tomorrow is Trinity Sunday, the only Sunday in the Church year that is set aside for the celebration of a doctrine rather than an event. Father will then try to walk to the bridge while explaining the trinity (inexact) and heresy. But two things to remember, there is one God and the relations within the Trinity are defined by love.

Almighty and everlasting God, you have given to us your servants grace, by the confession of a true faith, to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity, and in the power of your divine Majesty to worship the Unity: Keep us steadfast in this faith and worship, and bring us at last to see you in your one and eternal glory, O Father; who with the Son and the Holy Spirit live and reign, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

The Vestry will be engaging in the creation of a strategic plan for the parish over the summer. And we want to hear from you! In the parish hall, you will find five big Post-it notes to write down your thoughts, which will be incorporated in the vestry's strategic plan.

What do you think the strengths of our parish are?
What do you think our growing edges are?
What opportunities do you see in the future?
What challenges do you see in the future?
What do you want our priority to be for the next five years?

The goal is that after receiving feedback and set priorities in a strategic plan, which will guide our decision-making for the next few years. Related to this conversation will be conversations around the budget (and the budget deficit) and how to support our Junior Warden in keeping our facilities repaired and updated.
