Normally, I give very little attention to nasty rumors because my skin is very thick. When you have been in ministry as long as I have, you learn that people are going to talk.However, when a lie begins to hurt other people that I love, sometimes you have to BRING THE RECEIPTS.There is currently a lie being spread by enemies of this church claiming that I recently performed a marriage involving someone who was not legally divorced.So let me settle that lie with FACTS.Attached is the actual Judgment of Divorce, signed by the court. I have redacted the names, addresses, case numbers, and other private information because I have absolutely no desire to publicly expose or embarrass the people involved.The only reason I am posting this document is because innocent people are being hurt by malicious gossip.The court record speaks for itself.The divorce was legally granted.The paperwork existed.The legal status was verified.And only then did I proceed.I ALWAYS COVER MY BASES.I take marriage seriously. I take ministry seriously. And I do not knowingly perform unbiblical marriages.I usually ignore people who lie about me.But when your lies begin harming other people, you may force me to produce the evidence you hoped nobody would ever see.So here it is.THE RECEIPTS.Now please allow the official record to SHUT THE MOUTH OF THE LIARS.And perhaps the next time someone hears a rumor about this ministry, they will remember one simple lesson:Before you repeat a story, make sure the person you are talking about doesn’t have the paperwork.
