🧒➡️🧑 GOD NEVER INTENDED FOR US TO STAY SPIRITUAL CHILDREN.
Think about a child.
A child might think:
“I want to do this, so I'm doing it.”
An adult has learned to think further ahead:
“If I do this, what happens next?”
Spiritual maturity works much the same way.
📖 1 Corinthians 13:11 — “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”
As we mature in Christ, our question changes.
Instead of:
“Can I get away with this?”
We begin asking:
“Where will this lead me?”
Will this strengthen my marriage?
Will this damage my witness?
Will these words bring life or destruction?
Will this decision pull me toward God or slowly away from Him?
That's not God trying to take the fun out of life.
That's wisdom growing inside us.
And growth doesn't happen overnight. If you're noticing things today that never bothered you before, that may actually be evidence that God is working on you. 🌱
APPLICATION: Before reacting today, pause and ask, “What fruit will this decision produce?”
🙏 PRAYER: Father, help us grow up spiritually. Give us wisdom to see beyond what feels good in the moment and recognize where our choices lead. Teach us to welcome Your correction and become more like Christ every day. Amen.

📖 READING YOUR BIBLE ISN'T THE FINISH LINE.
Reading Scripture is incredibly important.
But there's a question we sometimes forget to ask:
What am I doing with what I read?
📖 James 1:22 — “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
We can underline it. Highlight it. Post it on Facebook. Memorize it. Know exactly where to find it.
And still refuse to LIVE IT.
The Bible says forgive—but forgiveness can be hard.
Love your enemies—but some people aren't easy to love.
Control your tongue—but sometimes we desperately want the last word.
Put God first—but sometimes everything else fights for first place.
That's where Scripture moves from information to transformation.
Don't just ask, “What did I read today?”
Ask:
“What am I going to DO differently because I read it?”
APPLICATION: The next time you read Scripture, choose one verse and intentionally apply it that same day. One verse lived out can change far more than a chapter quickly forgotten.
🙏 PRAYER: Lord, give us a hunger for Your Word, but don't let us stop at reading it. Give us courage to obey what You teach us, especially when obedience is difficult. Let Your Word change the way we think, speak, respond, forgive and love. Amen.

👀 WHO ARE YOU WHEN NOBODY IS WATCHING?
It's easy to look like a Christian at church.
It's easy to worship when everyone else is worshiping.
It's easy to say the right thing when the right people are listening.
But what happens Monday morning?
What happens when you're frustrated? When somebody hurts you? When you're alone with your phone? When nobody from church will ever know?
📖 Colossians 3:23 — “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.”
Christianity isn't a performance. It's a life.
God isn't asking us to look Christian for a few hours on Sunday. He wants our hearts on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday—and every ordinary moment nobody else sees.
Ask yourself:
Would I still do this if Jesus were standing beside me?
The truth is, He already knows.
And that's not meant to frighten us. It's an invitation to let Him transform the parts of our lives we've been keeping separate from Him. ❤️
APPLICATION: Choose one area this week where your private life doesn't quite match your public faith. Don't hide it. Bring it to God and begin changing it.
🙏 PRAYER: Father, make our faith genuine. Help us live for You when people are watching and when nobody is watching. Change our hearts so obedience becomes who we are, not something we perform. Amen.

📖 THINK BIBLE STUDY ISN’T FOR YOU? GIVE THIS ONE A TRY. ❤️

Maybe you’ve never been to Bible Study because you think, “I don’t know enough about the Bible.”

Maybe you’ve been before and felt lost, intimidated, or—if we’re being truthful—a little bored. 😬

We want you to give Bible Study another chance.

You do NOT have to be a Bible expert. You don’t have to know all the answers or even feel comfortable talking at first.

Our Bible Study is interactive and relaxed. We read Scripture, ask questions, discuss what we’re learning, laugh, share experiences, and—most importantly—go back to God’s Word for the answers.

Whether you’ve been a Christian for 30 years, you’re a brand-new believer, or you’re simply realizing there’s a whole lot about the Bible you don’t know yet—there’s a seat for you.

📚 Beginning September 13th at 6 PM, we’ll study Twelve Ordinary Men by John MacArthur.

And we love the message behind this study:

Jesus didn’t choose twelve Bible experts.

He chose ordinary, imperfect people—fishermen, a tax collector, men with different personalities, weaknesses, doubts, failures, and struggles.

Jesus called them, taught them, corrected them, transformed them, and then used them to do extraordinary things.

That should encourage every one of us. ❤️

You don't have to have it all figured out before you come. The whole point is to learn and grow together.

⏰ Bible Study lasts about one hour.
🍽️ Afterward, we enjoy a light meal and fellowship together, taking turns bringing something to share.

Bring your Bible if you have one. Bring your questions. Bring a friend.

Come as you are. Leave knowing His Word a little better than when you walked in. 📖❤️

❤️ GOD DIDN’T ONLY SEND A MESSAGE. HE SHOWED UP.
We live in a world where we can communicate instantly.
“Praying for you.” 🙏
“Love you.” ❤️
“Hope you're okay.”
“Let me know if you need anything.”
And those words matter.
But sometimes somebody doesn't need another text.
They need YOU.
📖 John 1:14 — “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…”
God didn't simply send instructions from Heaven.
Jesus came.
He walked with people. Sat with people. Ate with people. Touched the hurting. Wept with the grieving. Loved the rejected.
There is something powerful about showing up in the flesh.
Call them—but sometimes GO SEE THEM.
Text them—but sometimes SIT WITH THEM.
Tell them you're praying—but sometimes PUT YOUR HAND ON THEIR SHOULDER AND PRAY WITH THEM.
Christianity isn't meant to be lived entirely through a screen.
Sometimes the greatest ministry you can give somebody is your presence.
❤️ SHOW UP.
🙏 PRAYER: Jesus, make us sensitive to the people around us. Show us who needs more than a message today. Give us the compassion, courage, and willingness to show up and love people the way You did. Amen.

📱 WHAT IF YOUR BIGGEST IDOL FITS IN YOUR HAND?
When we hear the word idol, we picture a golden statue.
But an idol can be anything that consistently receives the attention, affection, time, and priority that belongs to God.
And sometimes…that thing is sitting right in our hand. 📱
Check your screen time.
Now compare it to your prayer time.
Your Bible time.
Your time talking with your spouse.
Your children.
Your family.
The person sitting beside you.
Ouch. 😬
📖 Exodus 20:3 — “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”
Our phones aren't evil. Technology can be an incredible tool. But a tool becomes a problem when it starts controlling the person holding it.
Maybe preparation for Christ's return doesn't look like watching another 45-minute video explaining prophecy.
Maybe it looks like putting the phone down and saying:
“God, You have my attention.”
Then look around. Someone else may need your attention too. ❤️
🙏 PRAYER: Lord, reveal anything that has quietly taken Your place in our lives. Teach us to put You first and to be fully present with the people You have placed around us. Amen.

⏳ YES, WE’RE LIVING IN THE LAST DAYS—BUT DON’T PANIC.
Turn on the news. Scroll Facebook. Open TikTok or YouTube, and somebody is ready to tell you, “This is it! Jesus is coming on THIS date!”
Here’s the thing: Scripture has referred to the time following Christ’s coming as the last days for a very long time.
📖 Acts 2:17 — “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh…”
But Jesus also made something very clear:
📖 Matthew 24:36 — “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”
So why are we letting a TikTok video convince us that someone cracked a code Jesus said we wouldn’t know?
Instead of asking, “How much time do we have left?” maybe we should ask:
❤️ How is my relationship with God TODAY?
📖 Am I living His Word?
🙏 Am I praying?
🤝 Am I loving people?
🔥 Am I growing—or just waiting?
Whether Christ returns tomorrow or generations from now, our assignment is the same:
BE READY. BE FAITHFUL. LIVE FOR HIM TODAY.
🙏 PRAYER: Father, help us stop living in fear of tomorrow and start faithfully living for You today. Strengthen our relationship with You and help our lives reflect Jesus. Amen.

🪔 ARE YOU GETTING OIL… OR JUST POLISHING YOUR LAMP?
This morning, a lot of people will get up, get dressed, grab their Bible, and go to church.
And people will see the lamp.
They’ll see you pull into the parking lot.
They’ll see you worship.
They’ll see you carry your Bible.
They may even see you serve, sing, teach, or pray.
But the question isn’t just:
“Did you bring your lamp?”
The question is:
🔥 “Did you get any oil?”
Jesus told the story of ten virgins in Matthew 25:1–13. All ten had lamps. All ten were waiting for the bridegroom. All ten looked like they belonged there.
But only five were actually prepared.
That should make us examine ourselves.
Sometimes we spend more time polishing the lamp than filling it with oil.
We work on looking like a Christian.
We know when to stand.
We know when to say “Amen.”
We know the songs.
We know the church language.
But did we actually encounter God?
There is a difference between going to church and being the Church.
Church attendance can put your lamp in the room, but it cannot put oil in your lamp for you.
So when you walk into church this morning, don't just ask:
“What am I going to get out of service today?”
Ask:
“Lord, what are You trying to put IN me today?”
Listen to the Word. Receive correction. Respond to conviction. Worship when you don't feel like it. Pray. Encourage somebody. Let God expose something that needs changing.
Don't spend Sunday morning just polishing your lamp for everyone else to see.
🪔 GET YOUR OIL.
Because eventually, what is on the inside will determine whether the lamp on the outside can keep burning.
📖 “The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.” — Matthew 25:4
🙏 Prayer:
Father, don't let us become satisfied with simply looking like Christians. Give us a hunger for Your presence and Your Word. Show us where we've been maintaining appearances instead of growing spiritually. Fill us, correct us, teach us, and help us leave church today different than we walked in. Let our lives burn brightly because of what You've done within us. In Jesus' name, Amen.

⛰️ KEEP GOING. GOD IS STILL WORKING.

Following Jesus isn't one emotional moment at an altar.

It's a lifetime of choosing Him.

You'll struggle.

You'll be convicted.

You'll have things to unlearn.

You'll need godly friendships.

You'll have a past to release.

You'll learn boundaries.

And eventually you'll realize that somebody behind you needs help walking the road you've already traveled.

That's Christian growth.

📖 “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion…” — Philippians 1:6

Paul wrote those words to believers in Philippi whom he deeply loved. Their faith journey wasn't finished.

Neither is yours.

🔎 THE EVIDENCE: Scripture is filled with imperfect people whom God patiently shaped over time—Peter, Paul, Moses, David, Thomas and many more.

God didn't require perfection before He began working through them.

But He didn't leave them unchanged either.

🌱 APPLICATION: Don't compare today's chapter to somebody else's chapter 20.

Keep praying.

Keep showing up.

Keep accepting correction.

Keep growing.

Then reach back and help somebody coming behind you.

🙏 PRAYER: Father, thank You for not giving up on me. Continue shaping me into who You've called me to be, and use my life to help others know and follow You. Amen.
