Florence Scovel Shinn, in “The Game of Life and How to Play It”, reminds us not to waste time comparing ourselves. She writes:
”There is for each man, perfect self-expression. There is a place which he is to fill and no one else can fill, something which he is to do, which no one else can do; it is his destiny!”

I hope you plan to join us this Sunday, June 7th as we begin our 2026 Summer Book Series: Life, Love, and the Pursuit of Happiness according to The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse. This series, based on the book by Charley Mackesy, shows how life is a journey and companionship helps us along the way. Each week is independent so you can miss and still enjoy the wisdom of the Boy, The Mole, The Fox, and The Horse.
This week our service focuses on Search for Meaning - how we decide what our existence might be, tune in to our homing device, and allow love and Spirit to bring us home. Listen as Rev. Larrye-Marie Heyl, spiritual leader of Center for Spiritual Living Southeast Louisiana, Rev. Catherine Bonin, the Happiness Minister, and Rev. Dr. Larry King, a minister from Oregon, begin the series and provide a message which encourages you to follow the river of consciousness to the light where home and love reside. Chris Michaels in “Your Soul's Assignment” wrote:
“We’ve been created, and then left alone to discover our Creator. In time, we all find our way home because the Creator placed a “homing device” within each of us. Our intense desire for love is that homing device and it will always lead us directly back to the one and only Source of unconditional love.”

Dr. Larry King provides a message that invites you to be optimistic - scanning for your good, to just say “No!” to unhealthy things, and to expect things to go right as you look for the good. He also reminds you that you can learn to turn your pessimism into optimism by asking yourself: “What if everything goes right?” He quotes these words of Ernest Holmes: “Our thoughts become things.”

Hello Belovings,
I hope you plan to join us sometime this week as we continue our 2026 series on Joyous Living and conclude our month of April talks on Living from a Higher Vibration with a message: “Planting Seeds of Peace.” I invite you on a journey to embrace positive thinking and high energy patterns, to have a lighter footprint on the planet, and to remember you are the light of the world and can be that light. Remember what we think impacts who we are so be aware of what your thoughts are planting in your mind. Also, peace is not just internal, it is expressed in how we live, what we consume, what we waste - so have a lighter footprint on the planet. Finally, illuminate the world with your light so as to reveal Truth by how you show up. Remember these words of Ernest Holmes: “What we think, we become.”

Hello Belovings,
I hope you plan to join us this Sunday, April 19th as we continue our 2026 series on Joyous Living and our month of April talks on Living from a Higher Vibration with a message: “Prayer Made Simple.” Listen as Rev. Larrye-Marie Heyl, spiritual leader of Center for Spiritual Living Southeast Louisiana, along with Rev. Dr. Ken Gordon, previous CSL organization spiritual leader, invite us to be consciously aware of God, to know prayer is recognizing our oneness with God, and to remember there is no power apart from the Infinite because there is only One life. Rev. Ken reminds us that we should trust the Divine unconditionally and be thankful for everything that happens in our lives – knowing the ultimate outcome is for our highest good. Rev. Larrye reminds us of these words of our founding father Ernest Holmes: “Prayer is not a supplication to a God outside of ourselves, but a recognition of a Power within.”

I hope you plan to join us this Easter Sunday, April 5th as we continue our 2026 series on Joyous Living and begin our month of April talks on Living from a Higher Vibration with a message: “Now What?.” I invite you on a journey to accept the miracle we are, to embrace a consciousness of Joy, and to rise up and live your life fully with every bit of passion we can muster. Easter reminds us the divine life within us is always rising. So we ask ourselves what stone we might need to roll away so we can truly begin living fully – living a life of joy and passion and purpose? Come embrace the Christ within and move from limitation to possibilities and hear these words of Ernest Holmes: “The Christ is the divine idea of humanity — the pattern of perfection within every person.”

Hello Belovings,

I hope you plan to join us this Sunday, March 29th as we continue our 2026 series on Joyous Living and our month of March talks on Choosing to Live with a message: “You!.” I invite you on a journey to see moving the body as a spiritual act, to expect more good in your life, and to learn more about your unique life force. It is time we ask ourselves if we have become so accustomed to doing things in a certain way that we are no longer ordering from the 5-star menu that the universe offers us. In seeking fuller expression of who you are, remember to go to the river of good with a huge truck. In the words of Ernest Holmes: “We should confidently expect a greater good than we have ever experienced, or than we have ever known of anyone experiencing.”
