Hello Belovings,
I hope you plan to join us this Sunday, September 6th as we conclude our 2026 Summer Book Series: Life, Love, and the Pursuit of Happiness according to The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse. This week our service focuses on Finding Home - how to discover that place where we are unconditionally loved and can feel like we can flourish and grow and be authentically who we are. In my role as spiritual leader of this community, I invite you home. The boy’s quest is all about finding a home and today we come to the end of our journey with our four friends having found their home. In the ever-evolving journey of life, there exists an innate longing within each of us to discover a place where our souls feel truly at home, a place that transcends the physical realms of bricks and mortar and delves into the ethereal landscapes of the heart and spirit. So, today Rev. Dr. Larry King, Rev. Catherine Bonin, and myself invite you to embark on a contemplative exploration of the spiritual dimensions that underlie the quest for our true home and remember: ”Home is where the heart is.”
As the mole says: ”I think everyone is just trying to get home.”

This week our service focuses on Resilience and Overcoming Adversity - how to enjoy life more and have less stress. Our guest speaker, Rev. Catherine Bonin, the Happiness Minister, is an experienced story teller and fabulous speaker. She encourages you to bounce back from challenging situations and to learn to dance in the rain. Resilience is a powerful force that resides within each one of us, a remarkable quality that transforms ordinary individuals into extraordinary beings, allowing us to not only endure life's trials but to thrive in the face of them. She reminded us that in the Bible, Matthew 7:14. it tells us: “The gateway to life is narrow and the road can be difficult…only a few will ever find it.” And we HAVE found that gate by choosing to live a conscious spiritual life!

Hello Belovings,

This week our service focuses on Strength and Courage - how to be stronger and more courageous, and how to recognize your inner strength. As the spiritual leader of Center for Spiritual Living Southeast Louisiana, I encourage you to have more backbone and more wishbone and to focus on inner strength, supportive strength, and having the courage to face your fears, be yourself and take risks. I also remind you your true strength and courage comes from partnering with the Divine. In “365 Science of Mind” Ernest Holmes wrote:
”If we would transcend doubt and fear we must lift up our thought unto the spiritual hills of the inner life. … I turn resolutely to that divine Source that knows no confusion, to that spiritual Center within me that knows no fear.”

This week our service focuses on Self-Care and Self Love - how to make self-care a priority and why that is so very important to those around us. Our guest speaker, Rev. Catherine Bonin, the Happiness minister, is an experienced story teller and fabulous speaker. She encourages you to be more aware of your own self care and to make it a priority. As Maya Angelou wrote:
“As you grow older you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself, the other for helping others.”
And Ernest Holmes tells us:
“Love alone shall reveal the Self to the self, and find enthroned in the high citadel of the secret place of God in our own heart that beneficence which embraces the whole world. When love’s activity is no longer confined to the littleness that restricts, but extends to everything and everyone, then shall we hear its song sung throughout the circuits of our lives.”

Hello Belovings,
I hope you plan to join us this Sunday, August 2cd as we continue our 2026 Summer Book Series: Life, Love, and the Pursuit of Happiness according to The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse. This week our service focuses on Acceptance - how to be more accepting and transcend our biases, recognizing the humanity in each person. As the spiritual leader of this community, I encourage you to remember judging leaves no time to love and remind you to accept yourself, knowing you are enough just as you are. Chris Michaels, in “Your Soul’s Assignment”, wrote: ”If every person knew they were loved and accepted by God exactly as they are right now, the world could be instantly transformed! The power of that acceptance and the sense of safety it brings could change people’s lives overnight.”

This week our service focuses on Trust - how to trust yourself, others, and Spirit. Our guest speaker, Rev. Dr. Larry King, a fabulous minister from Oregon, and an experienced speaker and process leader, encourages you to cultivate trust in yourself, in others and in Spirit. He reminds us to trust the universe is benevolent, to trust there is an infinity of good for us and a solution to everything is available. And he speaks of how we can learn to trust in the Spiritual laws, knowing in giving and receiving - as we give, it returns to us abundantly. As for trust, Mohammad told us: “Trust in God but tie up your camel.”
