Message from John-Paul Pierce
This may be a little long but I have to get it off my chest…..
My parents asked my brother and I how we felt about this new place we were going into a while back and tbh at the time I had no answer. I had no feelings about the situation because for the last 15 years this is all i’ve known. I couldn’t imagine it ever coming to an end. For the last 15 years I knew where I was going every Sunday and I loved the routine. For the last 15 years I knew where I was going to be fed and I embraced that. I gained a new family in 2007 and it was the Changing Family. You’ve seen my brother and I grow into young adults and have been a very vital support system in that process. When we began the Church I never once thought about it ending, I said this is my life now. Now that we are all growing into new places I can honestly say I will miss you all. I will miss the routine, the memories, the laughs, and most importantly the worship. I wish I could’ve been there today to Worship with you all one last time. To hear the different jokes and to catch up like we always do. This will take time to get used to but I know the things God has for us are greater than we can even imagine. I gained brothers, sisters, aunts, and even uncles in this process and I will miss all of you. I can recall the many smiling faces I used to see at my high school and even college games. That meant so much to me! I thank you for embracing my family and I and always being there for my parents. The way you all showed love to us will never be forgotten. You are a vital part in my life and I thank y’all for always being there for me. I love you all and I will miss all of you dearly.
