Greenoaks Memorial Park and Funeral Home has been a part of the Baton Rouge community since the cemetery's founding in 1949. In 1994, the cemetery added a funeral home to its property that included a spacious and well-appointed chapel, allowing us to provide comprehensive funerary ser

Situated on approximately 80 acres, the cemetery's meticulously maintained grounds offer beautiful gardens and majestic oak trees that provide a quiet and picturesque park-like setting in which to honor the memory of your loved one. Greenoaks Memorial Park and Funeral Home celebrated the opening of its new Greenoaks Life Celebration Reception Center on May 21, 2009. With catering packages and the ability to host up to 200 guests, the reception center serves as a great place for families to gather and remember their loved ones, as well as a place where the community can host business meetings, parties or special gatherings. Greenoaks is seeking speakers for our widow and widowers' program called LIFT - Living Information for Today. If your business or nonprofit has information to share in a small group setting, please contact Gretchen Varnell at 225-925-5331 or email [email protected]. We meet on the 4th Thursday of the month, enjoy lunch and have a speaker. Please feel free to invite widows or widowers to come hear the presentation and enjoy some good company. We have openings from October to December some share some upLIFTing conversation! Participants do not have to be Dignity Memorial families.

Greenoaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park would like to recognize all of those goldstar families who have lost loved ones in the Armed Services a prayer filled, honorable Memorial Day. Greenoaks Memorial Park and Funeral home actively participates with our community partners Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs, Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana, Chapter 1 Geaux Seven Chapter of Blue Star Mothers of America Louisiana Women Veterans and other ancillary groups Louisiana Patriot Guard Riders in recognizing all military personnel killed or missing in action.

The US Department of War Reports that "approximately 81,000 service men and women are still missing." Please remember them by stopping by the Gallery of Boots of those missing in action at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library this Memorial Day to remember those who "Fought so hard not to enjoy the freedoms that we enjoy today."
