Happy Father’s Day from Belfair Church Mid-City!

Today’s message was entitled “Act Like Men” from 1 Corinthians 16:13. The church was challenged to wake up, stand up, man up, and look up — trusting God to show up! 🙌🏾

We thank God for every father and father figure who pours into the next generation. Your presence matters. Your sacrifice matters. Your faith matters. You are necessary.

Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers, parents, and youth for making another Thrive Youth Outreach Cooking Class a success. Our young chefs did an incredible job, and we loved spending the day cooking, learning, and having fun together.

Juneteenth reminds us that freedom is worth celebrating, remembering, and protecting.
On June 19, 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas finally received the news that they were free - more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. For us, Juneteenth is both a celebration of liberation and a reminder that justice delayed still matters to God.

As people of faith, we give thanks for freedom, honor the resilience of our ancestors, and recommit ourselves to the work of justice, dignity, and love for all people.
