We had the opportunity to serve the Carlisle County golf team breakfast before they head off to Richmond for All A state!! Go Comets!

Thank you so much for helping us collect school supplies for Operation Christmas Child! We are shifting our collection for the next few weeks to personal care items like washcloths, hairbrushes, and combs. We do NOT need toothbrushes! We are also collecting accessories like barrettes, ponytail holders, headbands, caps, sock hats, and sunglasses. Thank you!

Yesterday we continued our series of Spiritual Warfare by looking at Genesis 3 and learning how to know our enemy. Satan tempts us to question God’s Word and believe that God is not good. When we believe his lies, sin brings shame, hiding from God, blame, broken relationships, and death. Satan shows us the bait, but he never shows us the hook. Yet Genesis 3 does not end without hope. God judges sin, but He also promises a Savior. Jesus succeeded where Adam failed, bore the curse, defeated the serpent, and gives us strength to stand. Know your enemy—but trust your Savior.

Yesterday we kicked off a new sermon series on Spiritual Warfare.

The Bible teaches that there is more going on around us than what we can see. We are in a spiritual battle, but we do not have to live in fear. Jesus has already won the victory, and God has given us everything we need to stand.

Over the next several weeks, we are going to look at what Scripture teaches about Satan, temptation, spiritual warfare, the armor of God, prayer, and how we stand firm in Christ.

Here are a few takeaways from yesterday’s message from Ephesians 6:10–13 — “Wake Up to the Battle.”
