1 Peter 5:8 tells us to "Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour." Satan's is determined to defeat us as Christians, and if he can't win in one area of your life, he will change the direction of his attack and come after us again. He is relentless, ruthless, and rotten to the core. And while we can have victory over him through Christ, we can always count on him to return to attack us another day.
I don't know what you might be facing today but let me assure you that the God who is on the mountaintop is the same God down in our valleys. This Sunday, we invite you to join us for worship and the study of God's Word as we look at some simple truths that reminds us that God is still God.

"Dealing With Discouragement"
Haggai 2:1-9

Satan's only desire is to stop the work of God and he has many tools to accomplish this. But of all the tools at his disposal, there is none sharper than discouragement. If he can get God's people to despair over their efforts, then the battle is won. When we get discouraged as Christians in our efforts to serve the Lord, the temptation to quit can become quite strong.
Most of us have at one time or another, become discouraged while serving in the church. Perhaps it's because of the lack of help, the lack of results, or maybe criticism concerning the work we are doing. Sometimes those disappointments can loom over us like an impassable mountain, and if we are not careful, those disappointments can turn to discouragement and derail our walk with God. We can lose our faith and focus which can lead us to quit on the Lord.

Join us this Sunday as we explore some steps we can take to overcome discouragement. Our services begin at 10:30 if you are able to join us in person, we would love for you to come worship with us. If not, you can catch the preaching portion of our service here on FB at approximately 10:55. You can also find it on YouTube at the same time.
