After watching the movie STRAW and dried my eyes, I thought about how this was not just a movie. Itโ€™s a mirror for many of us who have walked that same struggle.

Some may never say it, but I myself know that story personally. Iโ€™ve been the single mother praying through tears, robbing Peter to pay Paul, making tough choices that sometimes hurt others all in the name of survival. Even myself with attempting to take my own life. There were moments when I didnโ€™t know how we would make it. Times I felt like I was drowning in responsibility and shame. In the movie, the women stepped up. They surrounded her. They supported her. But in my life, it wasnโ€™t always like that. I had to fight through mostly alone. I remember making money doing hair during the day just so my kids and I could eat. Just so we could afford to stay at a hotel for the night. No steady home, no safety net, just me, my babies, and God. Please know, I'm not pointing fingers at those who didnโ€™t help. Honestly, Iโ€™m not bitter. It was part of my journey. It had to happen that way.

And thatโ€™s exactly where Not Alone Women's Ministries was birthed. From my loneliness, my fight, and my faith. It came from a place of deep pain, but also deep purpose. Thatโ€™s why no matter where God takes me in life, I will always lift other women. I will be what I didnโ€™t have because no woman should feel like sheโ€™s invisible, unsupported, or forgotten. I will always push and empower my sisters.

Geeshโ€ฆ this movie was a trigger. But in a good way.

Today, I pray for every single mother still in the struggle. I see you. I feel you. And I stand with you. May God give you strength in the silence, provision in the drought, and healing in the heartache. May He send help and until it arrives, may you never forget that you are not alone.

As you all know, Kick It With Dee Dee LIVE was originally set for the last weekend in August, but after I thought about it, thatโ€™s a holiday weekend! I didnโ€™t want to be that insensitive girl who pulls you away from your vacation vibes, family time, or that well deserved rest. So, in wisdom and with love, Iโ€™m shifting the date!

But donโ€™t worry, God is all up in this! The new date and ticket info will be posted by this weekend, and I promise, itโ€™s coming together just the way He intended.
