Sunday Sept 6 will be the last Sunday of the year for the
Dr. John Bender Worship Center. Larry will bringing the message on our last hero of the faith—Rebecca.

Our service starts at 10:30 followed by a meal. The trustees always furnish the last meal of the year. It will be grilled hotdogs and hamburgers with all the fixings.
You may choose to bring a side or dessert if you wish.

Let’s finish this year off with a great attendance. We look so forward to seeing you.

These are words that is very hard for me to post, but since I am the facebook voice of JBWC, I was told to do it by our head trustee, Kathy.
This coming Sunday will be the last Sunday that we will live in Pinehaven Village. The pictures below will show you why.
This past Sunday Larry and I were honored more than we can comprehend. The Dr. John Bender Worship Center chose to make a plaque to hang permanently in the shelter. They also gave us a plaque to hang in our home. We are humbled by this. Words cannot express the love that we have for this place, and yes we have striven hard to make it a facility that we thought would please our Savior. But we never did it for the praise of man. It’s nice that these trustees did see our passion and chose to let us know in such a wonderful way.

Know that we love you all and consider it a blessing and a privilege to serve you with all our hearts.

We were privileged to have some of our family to celebrate with us. Thank you for contacting them behind our back. This whole thing was pulled off as a total surprise. We were literally shocked.

A few pictures will have captions.

This past Sunday we heard from Jimmy Wells, our local sheriffs deputy. He talked about the special person, chosen by God to carry the Christ child —-Mary.
But actually, God loves us all and he chooses us to be His children. And once we accept this invitation, we all are chosen for a special mission.
Mary’s just happened to be chosen to bring in existence—the Savior of the world.
Children’s church is going strong and we only have one week left to finish the summer.

Next Sunday will be our last Sunday for the year. Larry will be speaking on Rebecca and telling us what Rebecca would say to us as we walk the track of this thing called Christianity.

Come join us as our trustees grill hamburgers and hotdogs for us. Also providing slaw and fixings. You can choose to bring a side or dessert. If you can’t-please join us anyway. We always have plenty.

Another great Sunday at the John Bender Worship Center last Sunday. Daniel Ritch brought us a message on Jonah. He told the Sunday School version—Jonah and the Whale, but added little known facts, to most Christians, about what Jonah might would say to us to help us be better Christians.
1. Don’t run from God.
2. Don’t be a sleeping Christian.
3. Bad things in our life can bring out good. God has a plan.
4. God is the God of second chances.

Next week Will will hear from Jimmy Wells our local Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputy tell us about how Sarah, the mother of Jesus, can use her life experiences to encourage us to live for Jesus.

And don’t forget Sept 7th—our last Sunday at the lake until next year.
Our trustees will be cooking for us hamburgers and hotdogs and slaw. It’s a special treat and it’s FREE. You can bring a side or dessert if you’d like, but it’s not a necessity.

See you there at 10:30.

It was another great Sunday at the JBWC, as Jordon shared with us the life of Rahab.
1. She was a sinner,
a pr******te by profession, but God redeemed her.

2.She was faithful. Living in a Pagan world, yet she recognized God as worth worshipping,

3. She was obedient. She tied the scarlet rope to her house and marked it so her house would be saved from destruction.

4. She was an evangelist. She told her people the good news and ultimately saved them.

5. She received a new identity. It She was in the linage of Jesus in Matthew, and was a great great …..grandmother to Jesus, longer referred to as a pr******te.

We also enjoyed the music brought to us by the North Ridge youth.

And can’t forget the children’s ministry. It is on fire!!!

Next week we will hear from Daniel and find out what Jonah has to say to us as we run this Christian race.
See you at 10:3O.

It was a great service Sunday. We had a special message from Zack Kiser explaining what advice Elijah would give us to use in the Christian race we are running.

Elijah would say:
1. Stand on God’s Word before you stand before people.
2. Stand for God, don’t bow down to people.
3. Don’t stop when it gets too hard. The first mile is always the toughest.

We also enjoyed special singing by his wife Hannah.

Next week we will hear from Jordon about what advice Rahab would give us. And the North Ridge youth group will be bringing the music. It will be a fun day.

Sunday was a great day as Larry shared the lessons that the hero’s of the faith would share with us as we run this Christian race. This week David had some wonderful advice.
“ You can overcome the limitations that others put on you”.

David was given limitations by
1. His daddy—no potential to be a king
2. His brothers-no potential to be a warrior.
3. King Saul—no potential to be a champion.
4. Goliath—no opponent potential.

But God……..

This week we will hear from Zack Kiser and learn what Elijah would teach us on how to be successful as a Christian.
See you at 10:30. It will be a great day!!!
