Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. Last week we heard Dean Pollard tell us what we experience when we see the glory and awesomeness of God. We will,
1. Be humbled
2. Be grateful for second chances—repent
3.Be sent to do His work in those around us.

So spend you time looking for God in your daily life and you will see him as he really is.

We had some special singers this week. What a joy to watch our children’s program.
This week we will hear Larry tell us about what we can learn from Abraham.

Looking forward to seeing you Sunday as we learn from the giants of the faith. Last week Daniel told us about Samson. The words of wisdom that Samson might pass on to us to make our Christian life successful is:

When you become a Christian, separate yourself for God’s service so that others may see a difference.

Accept God’ mission for your life and follow His plan.

When great things happen in your life, be humble, not arrogant and give God the credit.

Our special treat this past week was hearing Everly, Daniel’s daughter tell us the story of Samson in her own words. This is the bright future of the John Bender Worship Center.

This week we will hear from Dean Pollard. He will present to us Isaiah and his advice for us.

This summer we are diving deeper into learning about the 7 C’s of creation! ☀️This past weekend the children made a creation wheel and celebrated with a piñata after!

If you weren’t with us last week, you missed a blessing. Jerry Earnhardt allowed Elisha to “walk the track” with us and give us some hints on our Christian “walk”. Here is what Elisha said to us.
1. When God calls you to go for something—go do it!!
2. Be faithful to your calling by following Jesus example.
3. Expect God to use you for His glory. Do not limit what God can do for you.

Just be with Jesus and watch Him change you.

Don’t miss this week. Daniel Ritch is going to allow Samson to walk the track with us. He has a surprise that you won’t want to miss.

Looking forward to tomorrow to hear how our next giant of the faith, Elisha, tells us how to live our Christian life with purpose.

Last week Larry picked out some things that we could learn from Joseph:
1. Don’t let the mistakes in your youth keep you from serving God today.
2. Serve those around you whom God has placed in your lives.
3. Forgive those who have wronged you and see how God used this to strengthen our faith.

Hope to see you at the John Bender Worship Center on 7th Street off of Pinehaven Drive this Sunday from 10:30-11:30. There are two very important reasons to come.

1. We are having a carry-in lunch right after service. Bring those tasty dishes and share them with everyone.

2. We are starting with our summer series, “Walking with the Giants”. Our speakers will be pulling spiritual giants out of scripture and have them run a lap with us in life’s modern day race so that we can learn from their victories and their defeats, how to be better Christians. That should be exciting.

So we will see you Sunday we can hardly wait.

It’s about that time again. The JBWC is going to crank up May 24th. Yes, it’s our first Sunday back and we will have a carry-in dinner. So bring yourself and any family members or guest you want to bring and have an old fashioned fellowship dinner with us. All drinks and paper products will furnished by the church. So a general rule is bring enough for your family and one more person for those we talk into staying for lunch who did not not bring something. We always have enough and more.
Can’t wait to see you all. We are also having a workday this Saturday at 11:00 to get spruced up for the summer. Come join the fun.

It’s almost that time again. May 24th is the first Sunday at the JBWC this summer. We are having a workday on Saturday May 16th to get everything spiffed up for the summer. We will meet at 11AM. The jobs will be washing the pews and tables, putting out pine straw, setting up the children’s area, and general cleaning.
If you are at the lake that weekend—got an hour to spare? Many hands make for light work. We look forward to seeming you.

Here is the 3rd charity we gave to last year. This is a worthy cause right here at Badin Lake. It is Chandlers Grove Methodist church. I think it is unbelievable the amount of meals they put out each year. You can read the thank you note sent by Judy Hobson, explaining the outreach they have in this community. They serve on Tuesday each week from 4-6. 10,644 meals this year??? Wow!! Judy puts out on the Next Door app, the menu for the week. You will love Judy’s fresh home made sour dough bread. The meals are free if that is what you need-no questions asked. However, they do accept donations wach week from those of us who can. This does help with their expenses.
