The Refuge

The Refuge The Refuge is a Christian camp located in Ayden, NC. Some of our activities include canoeing, sports, swimming, archery, hiking, and team building activities.

The Refuge is located just outside of rural Ayden, NC, our property includes a 6 acre pond and a 19 acre pond, a swimming pool, foot trails through undeveloped woodlands, a team building challenge course, athletic fields, a covered pavilion with basketball courts and picnic tables, and 7 fully restored early 1900 farm houses.

We received an incredible gift today from a friend of The Refuge. This new John Deere tractor will replace an 18-year-old John Deere that was also a gift back when we started The Refuge. Since the very beginning—19 years ago—these two men have given tirelessly to help us grow in our facilities and mission. They have done structural and finish work on every single house that now stands at The Refuge. We just want to say THANK YOU to Chip Olmstead and Tom Scholl for all the heart and effort they have given in serving Jesus at The Refuge! We love you guys!
