Mt. Olive Lutheran Church

Mt. Olive Lutheran Church Mt. Olive helps on-the-go families find rest and discover powerful friendships connected by faith. With the universal Christian Church, Mt. Faith Alone.

Olive teaches and responds to the love of the Triune God: the Father, creator of all that exists; Jesus Christ, the Son, who became human to suffer and die for the sins of all human beings and to rise to life again in the ultimate victory over death and Satan; and the Holy Spirit, who creates faith through God's Word and Sacraments. The three persons of the Trinity are coequal and coeternal, one G

od. As Lutherans, we accept and teach the Bible-based teachings of Martin Luther that inspired the reformation of the Christian Church in the 16th century. The teaching of Luther and the reformers can be summarized in three short phrases:

Grace Alone. Scripture Alone.

The songs get loud, the games are fun, the popsicles are always cold and, right in the middle of all of it, kids hear the good news of Jesus!
That’s why VBS matters.

Rainforest Fall is almost here, and we would love to fill this week with kids, leaders, helpers, snack-passers, craft-table champions, game wranglers, and people who are willing to show up and love our community well.

Register your child, sign up to volunteer, or learn more through the link.
VBS is coming — and there’s a place for you in it.

God doesn’t wait for us to feel ready before He meets us.
The Holy Spirit is already near — guiding, comforting, and calling us forward.
You are never walking through this alone. There is always a place for you here.

Last month, Mt. Olive volunteers served at the food bank and helped sort 9,729 pounds of food — enough for 8,107 meals for our neighbors.

What a gift to see this community show up with willing hands and servant hearts.
Thank you to everyone who gave their time to serve. This is mission in motion.

Today we pause with gratitude for the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us of a love that gives, protects, and counts the cost. As we remember them, we also pray for their families, for those who continue to serve, and for peace in our world.🤍

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
— John 15:13

Lord, make us people who remember well, live gratefully, and love faithfully.

Some seasons feel slow. Some answers feel delayed. Some prayers feel like they’re sitting in the waiting room longer than expected.

But Scripture reminds us that God is not behind, rushed, or confused.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:11

So today, we breathe. We trust. We keep walking faithfully, even when the timeline looks different than ours. Because God’s timing is never late. It’s holy.

Join us for worship Sunday at 8:30 + 10:30 AM

The Gospel is not “try harder until God is impressed.”
It is this: Jesus stepped into the place we could never stand on our own.

Every failure. Every return to the old life. Every hidden idol. Every debt we could not pay.
He did not ignore it.
He carried it.
He paid it.
He left it at the cross.

That is grace. That is freedom. That is His good news!
